Just shut up and listen to Dr. Kiyan. Don't walk into this place thinking you have more knowledge than a dentist. Don't be like these other Karen's that are filled with fear and blame Dr. Kiyan midway through the process when the jobs not finished. My veneers required a few treatments and of course I was a bit anxious awaiting the results, but speaking to Dr. Kiyan at each appointment grew my level in confidence in him and his business. End result was a flawless execution by Dr. Kiyan 24 veneers installed to perfection. I own a multi-million dollar business, so I know a thing or two about conducting good business. I would highly recommend Dr. Kiyan and his team. I'll post my pictures once they send them to me.
If you want the perfect smile (Veneers), Dr. Kiyan is the one! 3 years later and I'm still in love! So much that I came to make a review after seeing all the bad reviews. Glad I caught them on a good day/month!
Let me start by saying the the practice group is the best group in all of the San Diego region I've been a patient for more than three years, and their services always go beyond my expectations; every single member of the staff is always very welcoming and attentive I recommend coming here not only for the staff but for the top dental service you'll always receive.
Highly recommend. After a complimentary consult that I originally meant to entertain for the possibility of veneers (perfectly good teeth I thought but smile is less than ideal) I am blown away at how THOROUGH and caring Jennifer and Dr. Kiyan have been. Because they use the best possible equipment in dentistry, they have optics on whats going on in my mouth that my traditional dentist apparently doesn't. Through this comprehensive consult, they discovered a pretty big abscess/infection in the back right of my bottom jaw through a CT scan in a tooth that apparently doesn't have any nerve pain currently. (I would never have known! Not even my dentist saw this with traditional x-rays. What the heck!!??) Jennifer and I discussed a treatment plan to address ALL concerns and I just realized, through her help, that the incredibly severe Trigeminal neuralgia (facial nerve) pain that had me in tears a few years ago over the course of 3 months that NO DENTIST or root canal specialist could explain and that disappeared just as fast as it appeared. It was highly likely related to the abscess that they discovered last week because of the specialized equipment and overall focus they have on addressing issues from many angles. My body was crying out for help 3 yrs ago after God knows how many years of that infection being there and no one could explain except for this practice. I want to cry. So grateful to now make it all make sense. Highly recommend their expertise! They truly are "comprehensive."
I have now finished my invisilign treatment and still recommend to anyone looking for a positive experience! I used to be so self conscious when smiling or laughing but am not super confident with my smile. I even get stopped now and complimented on how nice and white my teeth are. I don't know what I would have done had I not found the practice. 10/10 experience every time. Can't thank the staff enough :)
AMAZING!! I have always struggled with finding a good dentist and getting my teeth fixed since I didn't have dental insurance. I came in to get a consultation and immediately knew I found the right spot. I was able to get all my wisdom teeth removed, cleanings, my teeth whitened and invisilign. The staff are all super friendly and the place is beautiful. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a positive experience with a dentist

I have been a patient of Dr. Kiyan in the past due to moving away from the area. I've had always loved his work, and what a perfectionist he is towards everyone! Dr. Kiyan is super friendly, compassionate and professional. His staff follows an extremely close second. The dentist is not my favorite thing to do but I know I'm in great hands with Dr. Kiyan and his staff. The office in La Jolla is immaculate and state of the art. The music adds a nice feel. The close up imaging of your teeth on an Apple computer puts an entirely different opinion about your teeth. A smile is worth a million dollars. Thank the lord it didn't cost that! I am glad I have moved closer to the practice and have a beautiful smile now thanks to Dr. Kiyan and his wonderful staff. Five Stars all around!

the practice never fails to impress. They've consistently delivered quality service to me and my girlfriend over the years, while simultaneously maintaining this youthful pizzaz you wouldn't find at your typical dentist. It's somehow hip, and Dr. M remains a class act. I'm glad I found it. My only real critique is that I have found there has been a push in recent months to a year to kind of upsell harder on some other kinds of services. These are typically good, but sometimes recommended without enough diligence (I was almost given pricing on Crowns for myself, which I later learnt should never be remotely recommended to me while I still keep healthy teeth)Either way, I recommend the practice.
I've been going to the practice for a few years now and I continue to be impressed every visit with their kindness, knowledge, and professionalism. I appreciate the quick appointment availability, ease of communication, and phenomenal patient care! I've had cleanings, bonding (twice), whitening, and a retainer made by this office and I've been so happy with everything! I would highly recommend the practice to anyone in need of dental care! This review is long overdo - I could not be more grateful for Dr. Kiyan and his entire team! After searching for a dentist to help me achieve the look I desired, I stumbled across his practice. I was hoping to get my veneers re-done (which I had gotten somewhere else) before my sisters wedding that was just a couple months away. I figured it was a long shot however I crossed my fingers and gave his office a call. I mentioned my time-frame to them and they were able to squeeze me in the next day for a consultation... within a few weeks I was walking out of his office with a brand new beautiful smile. Dr. Kiyan and his team really took their time to listen to my concerns and curate the most natural / pristine smile for me. I'm so happy I've found my dentist for life and I look forward to getting my teeth cleaned in his office for many years to come. Oh yeah, they play pretty great music too. The staff and doctor are so kind, which is a welcomed change to so many other dentists that I've seen between LA and SD. They are so good that even though I'm in graduate school in a different state, I make it a point to fly back just to get my dental cleaning.

I started following the practice on Instagram, swooning over the beautiful restoration and veneer work that Dr Kiyan was performing. After a few months, I decided to take the leap and contact them. I filled out the online questionnaire and that same day I was in their chair. My experience from day 1 has been first class. Before the practice, I had never had any sort of dental work (except braces as a child). The staff at the practice made me feel comfortable and confident in my decision to go forward with a gum lift, whitening and veneers. They offered a great financing option and the whole process to my new smile took just a couple of months. To say my new smile is incredible is an understatement! I've been back for cleanings since last summer and the team at the practice continues to impress. The work they do is life changing for many. For me, they took something I was self conscious about and gave me a new confidence. You cant put a price on that. Thank you the practice Team!!!
I have said it before but this place is the best! I've been going to the practice for years and I absolutely love them! I struggled with my teeth and gum help after neglecting my mouth for years (because I couldn't find a great dentist) and they have helped me so much! The office is beautiful and the staff are all amazing! Definitely recommend.
I have had a great experience at the practice! All of the staff are so friendly and do an awesome job! My teeth have never looked better or been healthier. I had a lot of work to be done and it was a judgment free zone and they made it all an easy experience!
The whole staff is amazing!! Best treatment possible, the staff makes you feel like part of the family. The team is very responsive at all times, that's what I like the most! The staff here is WONDERFUL. They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and well taken care of. The dentist is not a fun place, but the staff here makes sure the experience is better. I cannot recommend them enough!
I had such a great experience at the practice. I enquired about an appt on a weekend when I was thinking about it and Jennifer called me first thing Monday morning to set up my appt. When I arrived there was plenty of parking and even complementary valet. Alex at the front desk greeted me and offered me sparkling or still water, cold or room temp, that was nice! Never been offered that before. I had a great consultation with Dr. K. right off the bat you can tell that he knows his craft well, is experienced and very passionate about what he does. At the end of our consultation he asked if I had any questions and honestly I didn't because he covered everything. Alex made scheduling appts easy and confirmed via text. I would highly recommend, I can't stop smiling!

the practice brought my smile to life. Dr. Kiyan aims for perfection and if you both aren't happy-he won't give up on you and your goals. The staff is incredible and are all so sweet & accommodating. I honestly had so much anxiety jumping the gun to invest this $$ for myself but they reminded me why I even step foot in there to begin with and what it's impact would have. Their authenticity shined and truly cared about me & my wants. I've always had my heart set on the practice & Dr. Kiyan. The process over the past 6 months was a roller coaster. Now that we're done- I don't regret it. Thank you for bringing me the confidence I always needed and working to make my smile perfect.

I'm updating my review because I had my cleaning today and my hygienist was amazing I always have a amazing experience coming here.
I came Into the practice after an unfortunate accident where my front teeth were shattered. They were so kind and immediately added temporary teeth so I could go back to work. It was a two year process for my teeth. First we spaced my teeth out with Invisalign. When I was getting closer to the end of that process we did a smile design to talk about how I wanted my smile to look and the shape and the color of the veneers I wanted. Dr. Kiyan then made a mock up the teeth for me to see in person. When we were happy with them I did a few weeks with the temporary veneers to make sure they felt and looked the way I wanted . The last step was the permanent veneers, I was more than happy with the results and was glad that I spent the extra time to space my teeth before the veneers. They look so natural. Every visit I'm greeted with a warm smile and I look forward to going to the practice for every appointment.

Professionalism, Superior Customer Service and Outstanding Quality of Work are a few words to describe my experience at the practice!! If you're looking for a Dentist who can do it all, Dr. Kiyan WILL NOT disappoint you!! I recently came in again for some follow up work and again, just blown away by the type of work Kiyan produces and how lovely his staff is! I met Dr. Kiyan about four years ago when I had an unfortunate accident that had shattered my front teeth. I came in very upset, they were so wonderful and immediately gave me a temporary bond so that I could return to work. From there we discussed the next steps. We decided to space my teeth out first with Invisalign as this would help give me the smile that I wanted. After the Invisalign we designed my smile together and picked the shape and color. I wore temporary veneers for a few weeks to make sure they felt right and looked the way I wanted them too. I am so happy with my results and happy that I spent the extra time to space my teeth. I am always greeted with a warm welcome and have felt that I was in such good hand through this whole process.
I had a great experience here. I haven't seen a dentist in over a year and knew that I needed some work. Dr. Kiyan was so pleasant and explained everything so clearly. I would recommend this dentist for anyone who may be fearful of dentists. You'll feel right at home.
After spending a lot of time looking around San Diego for a place to fix my smile, I decided to come to the practice and it was a fantastic decision! I have had braces twice, once as a child and a second time in my early to late twenties. Before going to the practice I have realistically had 4-5 different dentists and I never felt as comfortable as I have at the practice. A few things stood out to me, the level of professionalism, the communication, and the cleanliness of the practice's office were a few things that made me comfortable in getting a consultation. As someone whose business requires me to be client facing my smile is something I take very serious. I did hours of research before making my decision. I did some gum work, and a top set of veneers. I've decided to share some before and after pics and let you be the judge. Do you think it was worth it? I sure as hell did! And I wouldn't trust any other dentist in Souther California to touch my teeth. I'm a loyal client of the practice and I recommend them to anyone interested in getting their teeth done.
Dr. Kiyan and his team are incredible!! Everyone at this office--reception, office management, PR team, dental assistants, etc.--are absolutely wonderful. They are so kind and are always there to answer questions/help with anything you may need. They were so helpful and transparent during the entire process, from my first consultation all the way to my veneer delivery. My smile turned out better than I could ever dream of; to say I'm obsessed with my teeth now is an understatement. I am so grateful for the team at the practice for making it happen. Dr Kiyan is a true professional and an artist in the cosmetic dental field. After months of debating I finally decided to move forward with getting veneers. The entire staff made me feel very welcome and Dr Kiyan carefully answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease with my decision. My results are amazing!! This office has really changed the idea of what a dental office is. I feel very comfortable everytime. Dr. Kiyan is so knowledgeable. Everyone in the office is nice and caring.
This practice is absolutely professional from the time you come in to the time you leave. Dr Kiyan definitely knows how to select his staff wisely and it shows from my visitation(s). Initially, my brother was the only one who was doing the procedure for his veneer but after a few days there, I decided to get teeth whitening as well. Hopefully I can make some time to go back just to experience it all over again. Jennifer brings so much light to the office by being thorough and communicating with me. Mary ( I think that's her name ) that did the whitening procedure for me IS THE SWEETEST and so professional. Mary was constantly checking up on me every few minutes to make sure there was no discomfort and I appreciate that because I hate the dentist! After I was done, Dr. Kiyan came in to make sure I was happy and satisfied before letting me go ( which he didn't need to ). That just shows so much patient care. I recently went to the practice for the first time yesterday, and was extremely impressed! I generally dread going to the dentist and here I am excited to go back to get my teeth whitened. I got a root cleaning and felt no pain! I would strongly recommend anyone go here!
In the best sense of the word, the practice is an EXPERIENCE. When you become their patient, you sense right away that you're getting THE best dental care. And if you're anything like me, you thank yourself for not settling. Vibe is everything, and the practice has a great vibe. I have been going to Dr. Kiyan for over 5 years, and with every visit, I learn something new about how to take even better care of my smile. I leave there feeling smart, uplifted and cared for. Dr. Kiyan saved the day (and my teeth) when I met with him shortly before beginning extensive treatment for a serious illness. If not for his advice, I would have had two major health battles instead of just one. Instead, I walked out of his office last week feeling greatly relieved. Not only did I survive the illness and the treatment, every one of my teeth came through in great shape as well. That's the kind of care that keeps me coming back. Last week when I got home from my appointment, I looked in the mirror and thought, "I've never had such a good cleaning in my life."And I love the staff at the practice. This is seriously the best dental office I've been too!!! Very knowledgeable, organized, professional staff, cutting edge equipment and best of all, my teeth and smile are always getting compliments. Highly recommended!!!
Before I came to the practice I was really upset with my smile and insecure for the first time. I had gotten braces as a teen to close my gap but it re-opened, plus my dentist at the time shaved two of my teeth when it was discussed to possibly get veneers only as an adult. I felt botched :( After a lot of research to prevent a similar situation , I decided to come to the practice a year ago . During my consultation I got a detailed plan for my smile goal and a payment plan. My treatments included getting Invisalign to fix my bite so my gap could close properly. I was also able to whiten them at the same time by adding a gel to my trays . During that process I got a gum lift as well in order to fit the veneers I planned to get( 4 in total). A year later, I finished with Invisalign and my wisdom teeth started forming. I got all 4 removed at the same time under anesthesia. After that I finally got my 4 veneers. As you can see in the picture my natural teeth shape/ smile was kept , which was a big must for me . I wanted them to look as natural as possible . I definitely would recommend the practice for anyone who wants to invest in their smile and get any surgical procedures . I think for most, situations like this can be extremely nerve racking . My gum lift and wisdom teeth removal healing process was quick and pain free . I surprisingly didn't take any of the prescribed pain killers after my wisdom extraction. I only took ibuprofen if I started to get a small headache . A big thank you to Dr. Kiyan and the rest of the practice .

I have been coming here for 3 years and I absolutely love it. My teeth are always super clean and they're on top of keeping my teeth healthy and white. I suggest their annual treatment plan it's such a good deal. Thanks for always giving me the best care the practice
Im extremely happy to start my Invisalign treatment. I have a few things I will like to correct and lucky i was a candidate for invisaling. Im glad i dont have to use metal breaces. Dr. Kiyan answer all my questions and now im not afraid to start my ortho. Thank the practice.

And I'm still going there! I know that I have nothing to stress about when I am with them. I feel and know from the years now that I am well taken care of and they all know what they are doing and feel I am in good hands and safe. I can't say enough about the practice! Dr. Kiyan and his staff are absolutely amazing! They are Professional and yet have such a fun vibe you can tell they all enjoy what they do. His veneer work is the best! I Couldn't be happier :) Not to mention i have always had a fear of the dentist, and I've had a root canal done here as well and it was a piece of cake! I cannot recommend this place enough. I've been going to the practice for the last 2 years to get my teeth all healthy and also to do some 'fun' cosmetic work as well. The whole process was always done with the most attention to detail and dr always made sure I was comfortable during any of the procedures. Everyone at the practice is very friendly and really know how to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I normally hate going to the dentist, but not when I visit the practice.
I wanna start by saying that the Service that Dr. Mehdizadeh has been above my expectations. his staff is also incredibly . I was overseas for a couple of month and his staff always checked in and provided all the care I needed, my teeth are looking amazing it's been an amazing progress over the last 7 months I would definitely continue to be a patient with Dr. Mehdizadeh very happy with the result would recommend to all my friends and family.
I've been coming here for about 2 years, and Dr. Kiyan has been amazing! I was pregnant and about to deliver any day when I really needed a root canal. He moved everything around to do what he could to get me in, and I could not be more thankful! I was able to recover from giving birth without having to worry about my teeth or any pain/discomfort. Scheduling is always so easy, and they always work with me to get me an appointment ASAP. A MAJOR plus is they are covid cautious and require masks! He has also been amazing about not pressuring me into unnecessary dental treatments during cleanings. He gives me the best tips to prevent cavities for next visits as my teeth are prone to them. Hands down the BEST dental place in San Diego!!! I've been coming here for years and my whole family love this place and Dr. Kiyan!! Seriously I've done cleaning, whitening like hundred times here and I also had my wisdom teeth (all 4 of them) removed here and the surgery was literally so perfect my face did not swell. I also had a cyst in my mouth surgically removed here can you believe it!? They were able to take out a cyst for me I was so happy and relieved afterwards. Now this is the result of my most recent teeth whitening and cleaning and I could not be happier! Take a look for yourself. Stop wasting your money on other dentists and come to the practice!

I came to the practice in search of a 3rd opinion on some needed dental work. Every office I visited seemed to have different ideas of what to do to replace my old failing dental work. Let's first start with the modern look of this office. Having severe dental anxiety I was so pleased with the aesthetic of this office. It's so beautiful, clean and modern. I was blown away with my consultation that Dr. Kiyan gave me that I knew I would be in the best hands choosing this office. 3 years later I have never loved my smile more. The staff here is all very welcoming. I have had Invisalign, 4 crown replacements, 1 dental implant, gum grafting and teeth whitening. One of my biggest insecurities was always my teeth & I wanted to invest in getting my teeth done and was very hesitant because of bad experiences in the past from other places I found the practice on Instagram and instantly fell in love with the results with their patients and knew I wanted to come here !! I finished a treatment of Invisalign which last around 5 months, once completed I had whitening and enamel contouring. Dr. Kiyan has always made the best decision with my teeth and I couldn't be happier with the results.
It is always a pleasure dealing with intelligent professionals. I am usually very terrified of dentists and extremely picky about retaining any medical professional. To be honest, my screening process is rather intense. But the practice passed the test with flying colors. I had rather extensive dental work done and as a patient I cannot only rely on my doctor for a good outcome - I need to do my part in following his instructions and otherwise care for my body while going through the process. I found Dr. Kiyan and his staff to be extremely knowledgeable and competent during my 'ordeal.' My results were terrific and no, they are not the cheapest dentist you will find because good service is usually not cheap. But if you want good results and are prepared to put in the work to otherwise care for your health, then I would highly recommend this place.

Update since it's my three year anni with my upgraded smile (Invisalign, whitening, bonding). This place is STILL my jam. the practice knows how to keep my smile to perfection. My experience with the practice and Dr. Kiyan Mehdizadeh was the best dental experiences I've ever had from the in depth consultation to today I couldn't be any happier how thing worked out. My mouth was a disaster far from perfect and there were alot of complications through out the 5 different surgeries I had and getting the perfect fitment but that's expected what sets the practice apart from others is how the complications were handle and how I felt a sense of priority Everytime I had an issue or was in pain they always had me covered and got me in a timely manner. I had such a wonderful experience at the practice during my whitening service yesterday! First and foremost, the customer service and professionalism is truly unmatched. You will feel SO welcomed the moment you walk through their doors. The team at the practice made the first ever FUN and comfortable dental experience for me! It's so refreshing to walk into an office surrounded by people with great energy who seem that they genuinely love their job! This was my first time getting an in office professional whitening, but I felt super comfortable and knew that I was in good hands. I had no sensitivity during my whitening service and experienced some sensitivity a few hours later, and an ibuprofen helped! Everything went well during my visit, and they were so kind to check in with me often to make sure I was doing fine and that all my questions and concerns were answered. I met Alex and Mary who were such a delight!! They seriously have such a dedicated staff. I can't thank them enough! Not to mention, the office is superb. It's so clean, aesthetic, and they have an enjoyable modern playlist. Additionally, I had no wait at all. From start to finish this office is fabulous. I'm a big chicken when it comes to the dentist due to bad childhood experiences. So I procrastinate until I can't stand it anymore and then I go to the dentist and cry the whole time, but not at the practice they made me comfortable and explained the procedures thoroughly and I'm excited to see the end result with my new smile. This journey is only just begun for me but the end result will be worth every penny. This past week I had the pleasure of having dental work at the practice. Doctor and staff were so caring and understanding to my coward ways when it comes to going to the dentist. I was comfortable during my procedure. I'm looking forward to having an all-in-4 implant done on my lower teeth. My first point of contact was to Jennifer she contacted me after I filled out a form online she answered all my questions very professionally and knowledgeable. She left no stone unturned when it came to my questions. After many years of neglected dental Care because I was scared, I was embarrassed that I waited so long when it was that easy to get it done. I had an amazing experience at the practice in La Jolla! Cleanliness: The entire office was clean from top to bottom! As a clean freak myself that is very important. The staff was wearing gloves and the proper COVID coverings. Staff: Staff truly made me feel like I was part of the family, they were kind, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Location: Their office is very easy to locate, a quick drive from the freeway and there was plenty of parking. First 2 hours of parking is free. Service: I got my teeth whitened, the staff told me about the entire process beforehand and that made me extremely thankful! The process was very fast, I did 4 sessions. I had some sensitivity but that was to be expected as they say, beauty is pain. Truly so happy with my teeth and how they turned out! I keep getting compliments!

I moved to San Diego 4 years ago and found Dr. Kiyan Mehdizadeh and the practice practice. When moving to a new city it is difficult to find a dentist that you can trust and I appreciate Dr. Mehdizadeh taking the time to educate me on my teeth with 3D photographs from his state of the art equipment. I was so impressed and such a fantastic experience that I brought my entire family back. The staff is professional and Dr. Mehdizadeh is gentle and pays close attention to detail. I used to dread going to the dentist and now I truly enjoy it. Everything from checking in to finishing the process in pleasurable. The office is modern and chic with warm comfortable vibe. They offer special touches that no other dentistry thinks of such as protein shakes after your procedure and lavender towelettes. I highly recommend Dr. Kiyan Mehdizadeh and the practice and will be a loyal patient for myself and my family.
Some might say, "it's a vibe" Those that talk like that would be correct but it's a bit more than just a vibe. There no condescending attitude or dental hygiene shaming that happens in most dental offices. Everyone here is professional, positive and friendly. Most importantly, when they are hands on, they are very gentle. I've had a lot of dental work done here, from crowns to veneers to my quarterly cleanings and I've always been extremely happy with my experience. In all honesty, I don't even remember who I was before I started coming to the practice but I'm certainly happy with who I am!

My 1st impression was the lobby it's a nice comfortable inviting environment The staff is Professional And answered all my questions and concerns that I had before starting the cleaning. After the cleaning I could feel the difference in my teeth I've never had a cleaning like that before. I have been looking for a cosmetic dentist for a few years. I was very overwhelmed with finding an office that could help with all the work I needed to have done. My tobacco chewing habits destroyed my teeth. The Office Manager reinsurance put my mind at ease . First appointment online which lead to a in person meeting to start my path of wellness and to once again to be able to smile and visit with no insecurities. Updating my review from the first time I visited this office. I have gone through the 'not fun' part of my dental work (replacing old fillings, cavities etc) and now started on my Invisalign as part of the prep for the fun/cosmetic part of my dental plan. I could not be happier with the quality of service of not only the doctor but the staff as well. I can honestly say I actually enjoy going to the dentist and can't wait to have a perfect smile!
After seeing a few dentists around Southern California I made an appointment with the practice. From the moment I walked into the office I had such a good feeling - everyone is super nice and helpful, the equipment is modern, and they play great music. Dr. Kiyan is truly a master at what he does and creates such beautiful smiles. He listens to exactly what you want and adjusts accordingly while also giving great advice. I got my veneers done with him and could not be happier!

I contacted the practice after following their work for many months on Instagram. From photos alone you can see there is a significant difference between Dr. Kiyan's work and other dentist. After admiring their work from afar I contacted them and was offered a virtual consultation. The process to get in the chair was quick and easy. I had never been confident with my smile and I was determined to only visit someone who would care as much as I do about my teeth. I had 12 veneers placed and I can now smile with confidence! I'm the only person I know of who actually looks forward to going to the dentist! Here are the reasons I enjoy going to the practice and Dr. Kiyan for all my dental needs and improvements;1). Dr. Kiyan is very talented, honest, straight forward, professional and delivers a 100% painless dental experience ! Yes, I've had root planning, gum surgery, veneers, teeth whitening, had a tooth pulled and the best root canal of my life all at this office. No pain and everything was done efficiently and perfectly! 2). He has the best team. They are all very friendly and professional. I am always happy to visit this office for all of my dental needs. All of the old "dentist anxiety" I had in the past is now a non issue. This team is fantastic! 3). The office is impeccably clean and they maintain the highest level of CoVid prevention standards that I've ever experienced. Their commitment to your safety just builds even more trust. 4). Dr. Kiyan has all of the most up to date technology. It's really amazing. Thankfully, one of his imaging machines found an abscess brewing in an old and failing root canal done by my old dentist, BEFORE it started to cause any pain. I'm really grateful for that. Dr. Kiyan was on it and my mouth has never been healthier or more beautiful!5). Maybe this should be number 1, but I never would have gotten this far had the other reasons not existed. Dr. Kiyan designed gorgeous, youthful and natural looking veneers for me. I smile more and with much greater confidence now. my journey to a flawless smile... My whole life ive struggled with weak enamel and also hating my smile. My teeth were uneven and ugly. I would brush them like crazy and id still have new cavities every time i went to the dentist. I couldn't eat alot of foods like ice cream or anything crunchy because it would either hurt or it would break my teeth because they were so weak and brittle. Flossing would chip pieces off and cause alot of pain and all the dentists i went to (like 10 different ones) all told me that my teeth are so weak that by the time im 30 ill have to get dentures because they would rot and i couldn't stop it. Ive always been a pretty confident person but my smile was my one main thing that i hated. It didnt look good in pictures and nobody likes ugly yellow teeth so i would try to hide them all the time because i was embarrassed. After about 30 cavities, 13 root canals, 3 teeth being pulled, vacations being ruined and work being missed for excruciating pain i gave up hope and went for a consultation to get dentures. the practice changed my mind and got me into a rehabilitation treatment plan instead which is way less money and also alot less recovery time and not to mention less pain. Nothing is worse then tooth pain so i jumped at the opportunity. I trusted dr Kiyan with my smile with zero hesitation aftrr seeing just 1 picture of his work. 1 picture and i was sold 100%. They all made me feel like i was part of the family everytime i went in and they were awesome with working around my schedule. It is a 3 hour drive one way for me but it is worth every second for the entire experience. Amazing staff and awesome results. I cant thank you all enough for everything you did for me! Big big bigggg thank you to everyone at the practice for not only giving me healthy and flawless teeth but for giving me a smile i can be confident in. You guys changed my life and im forever greatful!!

Not only is the entire office staff just incredibly friendly and amazing, through the process of getting my veneers redone, Dr. Kiyan helped me feel confident in all of the decisions I was making throughout the process. He has a very visual and educational approach that, you may be surprised to hear, other dentists/competitors do not take the time to go through. I also had a number of scheduling challenges due to flying back and forth from Colorado to go through this process to which everyone was extremely accommodating. I just had a great experience with two root canals with Dr. John. I know root canal and a great experience sounds like an oxy moron, but trust me, Dr. John was totally pain free, is a very friendly and interesting dentist to chat with, and his work is fast and oh-so thorough. I highly recommend Dr. John if you unfortunately need one of these procedures.

I have been going to the practice for a few years now and the staff is top of the line. Very friendly and professional.
A year has gone by and there has been no issues with the veneers. Whole process took about 8 weeks. There will be some teeth sensitivity afterwards but it goes away after 2-3 months. Staff was great. Listen to Dr. Mehdizadeh. He will give you the best advice for a pearly white smile:)

One visit is all it took! This place is absolutely amazing. From the time I uploaded my photo for a virtual consult until the time I left after my first consult with Dr. Kiyan yesterday, it has been the best dental service I have ever received...... and I haven't even started treatment yet, but I am scheduled. The staff is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant and the doctor really knows his stuff;) He took the time to explain every detail of my treatment with me and made sure he answered all my questions. I knew right away that I have found my forever dental home. I can't wait to get started with my dental treatment and see the results of my new smile! From my experience when you deal with well-known establishments such as this one, you can expect either a cold-shoulder, rushing due to high volume of clients, or unreasonable prices. This place had none of that! the practice in La Jolla has beyond exceeded my expectations in every way. Even the receptionists are friendly and welcoming! Dr. Mehdizadeh was kind and helpful. Going to a new dentist isn't fun and I didn't know what to except. The workers behind the desk of medical facilities tend to be grumpy. However, at the practice I was given a greeting when I came. The staff is welcoming and are solid when it comes to customer service. Dr. Mehdizadeh did a great job by using pictures of my teeth to explain my dental issues and he put together a dental plan for me.

I was glad I found Dr. Mehdizadeh and his beautiful office the practice when looking for a new dentist after moving to San Diego. He took care of me for 3 years, and I have always had a great experience with him and his staff. The front desk has always been friendly and helpful, the hygienists careful and thorough, and most importantly I knew I could trust the Dr. with my regular care. I never felt like I was being pressured into doing anything, and he carefully explained all the care that was needed or suggested. I never realized that I have bad masseter hypertrophy, and he helped me address that issue to help my teeth grinding and chronic headaches (even if I didn't get the treatment through his office). I also went through occlusal equilibration with him, and most importantly, surgery. I have been putting off wisdom teeth removal for all my life, and he patiently reminded me of why I needed the surgery, which made sense. I finally agreed to do it right before my move and was terrified after hearing about my friends' experiences. My worries were not justified at all... It was the most painless and stress-free experience, and I recovered quickly without any issues. I am so so grateful to Dr. Mehdizadeh for giving me great, thorough dental care during my time in San Diego. Also appreciate their attention to detail in the office to make it neat and welcoming.

So I started coming here after my sister told me how amazing everyone was and to begin the process of achieving the smile i've always wanted, I started of with a video consultation that can I just say was way better than I ever expected then was scheduled soon for an in person visit, as soon as I walked into the office I felt so welcomed and valued which stood out so much to me , I had taken my sister once and didn't even come inside due to the current regulations but the receptionist remembered me which honestly felt amazing. Then I meet with Dr. Kiyan and Mary and it honestly felt like i've known them for a while they were so welcoming and honest with me about what my process would look like , I can't wait to continue with them and achieve my perfect smile !
I first visited the practice for a consult for veneers 3.5 years ago. I had bonding on my front teeth that was very discolored. I liked that they straightforward with pricing and the schedule of appointments. My veneers looked so awesome that I decided to make the practice my regular dentist. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. I especially love the hot lavender towel after teeth cleaning; it feels like a spa! I convinced my husband to transfer over to the practice, and he has also been very pleased with them. Thanks, the practice! I have a lot I could say about the practice but every single thing would be positive. For the last 10 years I've been told that my teeth couldn't be helped and was a lost cause. That has lowered my self confidence to little to nothing. I will never forget walking into Dr. K's office expecting to just fix one tooth because it had gotten so bad. He told me that my case was nothing close to the worst, gave me confidence, and we started our proceedure the next week to fix EVERYTHING. We still aren't done but you can trust that when we are, I'm showing everyone. This is the best I've ever seen in a dentist office. They are clean, astonishingly friendly, and truly professional. I decided to come here after doing a video consult, and it was super cool and helpful!! However, it did take quite a while for him to get back to me (1 month?). Space: The physical space is very clean, white, bright, and modern. They definitely come off as very hip and trendy, heck they even take Apple Pay :OService: Dr. Kiyan and all the staff are very friendly and talkative! I like how they try to make you feel comfortable and like friends. This is probably the biggest pro! As for the dental service, they are very thorough! Dr. Kiyan is very communicative. The lady who did my teeth cleaning removed a lot of tartar off me. Only negative experience is that she didn't have an assistant during the teeth cleaning so the suction sometimes was not used enough and in the right places to suck up my saliva. It even got stuck to the side of my tongue so now I have a major canker sore and can barely talk LOL she was super nice and I would still come back but I am a little afraid of there not being an assistant againParking: Major downside is that it's paid parking, previous reviews say they validate but I called and they say they don't do that? It's really difficult to find street parking.

I have had really bad experiences with dentists when my family and I first came to the US in 1997. Not knowing the language and how to go abouut things back then really limited on what should have been the correct way to go about my dental care. I never smile in photos, but I am one of the happiest people out there, truly! I've been wanting to make a change for years but as you all know things take time and money. When I decided that this is the year I will start the journey and change my life for the better, I did a lot of research - still traumatized I went to a few consultations. Long story short, Dr. Kiyan was my pick for so many reasons. The first interaction with the staff, from the get go there was a positive feeling. After my consultation I got in my car and cried because of the overwhelming feeling of excitement of what my smile could look like. Everything was explained to me, step by step. I didn't feel like I was rushed to make any decisions. It was an amazing feeling. Just couple days ago I went in for a cleaning and Invisalign scan. I never felt more comfortable at a dentist office! I will have more work to do once my teeth are straight but I am so excited for this journey. Thank you the practice!!!!

I've been going to the practice for a few years. When I first started going I was surprised to get my teeth cleaned by the actual dentist who owns the practice! the practice has grown over the years, so the Dr. doesn't do the teeth cleaning unless you have some serious issues haha but the dental hygienists are great and very knowledgeable and friendly. I've had some surgery done and it was nice being able to do it at the practice vice being recommended to go to another dentist. Overall, the practice is a great dental office. How often do you find a dentist with 4+ stars on yelp? There is a reason... go to the practice and see the difference between where you might currently go and your soon to be permanent dentist!

Had a wonderful experience! The office is really nice and has snacks and drinks which I think enhances the experience if you were in a rush! They're so helpful and even helped me call to make my consultation appointment at a jaw surgeon's, and the kind lady at the front desk did it all for me!

Came for the convenience of location, stayed for the service. I have been going to the practice for my cleanings the last year and a half, and every time has been, dare I say, fun. Everyone in the office is so friendly. The waiting room is welcoming, with a lit candle, great coffee table books, cozy decor, Nespresso machine, and snacks. The checkup exam and cleaning are comprehensive. It's a fantastic atmosphere.

I have always been insecure about my smile and struggled to find a dentist that would listen to my concerns and take them seriously. I walked into my appointment (late and frazzled) and was promptly greeted and helped, a welcoming and friendly staff in an amazing office space. I told Dr. Mehdizadeh my concerns and was heard and assured that he could help create a plan to help me feel confident in my smile. All my questions were answered and Dr. Mehdizadeh created a 2-phase plan for me, put it in writing, and sent me on my way to think over what steps I wanted to take next. If you're hesitant about setting up a consult- don't be! You will without a doubt have a pleasant experience. I am very excited to be moving forward with Dr. Mehdizadeh and his team at the practice.
I found Dr. Mehdizadeh on yelp and I reached out to have a virtual consult; I received a response the next business day. I explained to his team that I recently had four veneers put on at another dental office and within two months one came off. By the time I made an appointment to see Dr. M, I had lost hope and was very nervous about getting another set of veneers. He assured me that my veneers won't fall off this time and that I would be happy with the end results. Dr. M was right, I absolutely love my new veneers and I can't stop smiling! I highly recommend the practice!
Hi I just want to say that I had a good experience besides having to Change room once or twice but the assistants were very respectful and attentive Although I am a little nervous about my new appointment coming up where they are going to pull out all of my teeth and give me dentures the same day because it didn't scares me but I'm sure they'll do well thank you guys again

If you don't have dental insurance they offer their own plan that saves a lot! Their staff is very friendly and professional and you are never left waiting. Highly recommend
I had my appointment today and it was seamless!!! The paperwork was sent in an email and was extremely easy to complete. When I arrived at the office, I was literally seen in minutes. The technology they use is amazing!! No more opening and closing your mouth hundreds of times for x-rays with the possibility of having to re-do a few. You take one x-ray! That's right, I said one x-ray. Dr. Mehdizadeh is the BEST Dentist I've ever seen! He is thorough, patient and most importantly, he ask you if you understand what he's explaining the entire time!! I would recommend the practice to anyone! I now have a NEW Dentist and will ALWAYS use them for myself, my family and will refer all of my friends!!!
Dr. Kiyan is legit! I actually had braces when I was younger and then was too cool in high school to wear my retainers... which resulted in my teeth getting pretty messed up again by the time I turned 30 haha. I found out about the practice through a friend who recently had her teeth straightened by Dr. Kiyan so I figured maybe it's time I committed to getting my teeth straightened again. I figured this experience would be similar to every other boring Dentist/orthodontist office experience, but upon my first visit I soon discovered that Dr. Kiyan's office is like a modern, hip-orthodontist office with a super friendly staff that's fun to talk to haha. Dr. Kiyan himself is also really easy to talk to and has been great about answering the 500 questions I have every time I come in to pick up new teeth alignment trays haha. He really knows his stuff and explains to you all of your options during your first visit. He is super honest and upfront about what to expect with the plan you choose (straightness of teeth, bite, what will work best/look best for your facial features), which I really appreciated. I ended up doing 3 months of braces (to save some time and jump start my teeth alignment) followed by a year of Clear Correct. A few other things to note that might be helpful in making your decision to come here...1. The staff made it really easy to accommodate my schedule (I live kind of far and work even farther) so that was cool2. They use this high tech teeth scanning technology to get super accurate 3D imaging for your teeth instead of doing a physical teeth mold. From what I read this is a more accurate method to getting your teeth straight.3. the practice is also a dental office so you can get your teeth cleaned there too!

Something I really appreciate about this dentist is that he puts your needs as a patient first, both professionally and financially. My experience at the practice is always top notch, even a pleasure, which seems nearly impossible to say about a dentist. The office itself is sleek and super progressive (reminds me of south beach, Miami), and the staff could not be more amazing. Dr Kiyan is kind, patient and totally transparent in what treatment you need. I totally recommend them.
I started going to the practice following a recommendation from a friend. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and I feel really well taken care of. In the past I've had some negative (painful) experiences at the dentist so I especially appreciate that the staff at the practice is understanding and considerate.

Dr. Mehdizadeh has broken the mold when it comes to dental experiences. I, like many, use to dread going to the dentist. Often, I found cleanings were painful and the overall experiences was never pleasant. Since going to the practice, the experience has been quite the opposite. Both Dr. Mehdizadeh and his hygienists are always warm, friendly, and offer suggestions and expertise that never feel unnecessary. I'd would highly recommend going to the practice. Give them a call.
Great experience, since the moment I got there, I was greeted immediately, and started my paperwork ASAP. Then I was transferred to the dentist in no time. The dentist asked me if I was okay during several times in my procedure, and I expected some pain in my teeth whitening but I had none. I really recommend visiting the practice in La Jolla.

Not sure how I found Dr. K, but I am sure glad I did!! He is highly professional and performs great work... all with a fun personable style. He is very clear about documenting my plans and reviewing them at every visit without applying any pressure and is very respectful of my timeline. Dr. Kiyan is truly the best of the best and I am so happy I found him! I was in a bad accident about 8 years ago and it left me with two missing teeth and 6 chipped teeth in the front of my mouth. I received 2 dental implants and a terrible set of veneers. The whole process was terrifying and I was not happy with the work that had been done. Before my accident my teeth were perfect. I was desperate to have a perfect smile again. After that, I'd had several consultations with different dentist who always seemed to make me feel uneasy and afraid. I thought I would never be happy with my smile again. I knew I needed to find a truly talented dentist who could give me the best. I came across doctor Dr. Kiyan and decided to get a consultation from him for a new set of veneers. He and his amazing staff made me feel comfortable from the second I walked in. I felt as though everyone in the office truly cared about me. He immediately looked at my teeth and came up with a treatment plan. His knowledge and confidence about what he was going to do put me at ease. He was also very caring and wanted to make sure I was happy every step of the way. After a long history of really poor experiences with Dentists, I had great apprehension as the last one that treated me said I had 14 cavities that needed immediate attention. I was dumbfounded and felt the hard selling going on. So it took me a long time to trust and find a new one. Luckily, my husband and I both have the mindset that we deserve to be treated as we would treat others. His research led us to the practice and I am so glad that it did. Not only did Dr. Mehdizadeh let me know that I indeed did not have 14 cavities, he had precise solutions to all my dental issues, and had an immediate plan. He puts you at ease and is witty which really is a contrast to the high stung or uninvolved Dentists of the past. The staff is equally as wonderful, and if I bring my daughter in with me they make her feel comfortable as well. They also helped with insurance solutions and help for my "dental office anxiety ". I actually am looking forward to my treatments as I feel like I'm in the hands of the best of the best, and know my end result will be better than I imagined. I was referred to the practice by a friend. I am so blessed to have listened to my friend. The entire staff is knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and honestly so dang sweet! I usually arrive just in time and honestly there's never a wait. I went in knowing my teeth needed some serious work done. The dr really listened to my concerns and explained everything in a way I could understand. He also showed me what work needed to be done so I wasn't just blindly following his advice I could see what he was saying with the pictures that were taken at my visit. He also came up with a great game plan to get my teeth where I want them to be! I am so thankful for the practice.

This review is long due, for years this has been my one stop shop for dental, regular check ups, dental hygienist, and more involved work like crowns. Dr. Kiyan and the staff time and again are friendly and put me at ease, Dr. Kiyan is confident in his treatment plan, he is conscientious and persistent, takes the time to explain the case, and listens carefully for questions. The experience feels personal and i do trust Dr. Kiyan and his office with my treatment.
This place is so clean and the decorations are really cute. I appreciate the modern feel of this office - Everytime I come here I feel like they've made the effort to improve their equipment and keep educated on the latest and greatest. A big an irrational fear I've had was taking out my wisdom teeth - I got three of them out a couple years ago here, and it was the best decision ever. My recovery was so great and painless I was like "did my teeth actually get pulled??" Here I am, just got my last wisdom tooth out since I had to get a special 3D scan for the close nerve. Even though I was nervous again, everyone at this office is so nice and funny they really make everything so great. My recovery is going very very well and I love this place so much for taking great care of me each time. Please keep up the amazing work!!

I have always been petrified of the dentist and avoided going in as much as possible. The second I walked into the practice my perception was changed. I was greeted by the warm and welcoming staff in their inviting waiting space. When taken back I was excited to see bright colored walls and neon light signs making the space seem a little less intimidating. Dr. M was kind, sweet, and incredibly smart. My good friend recommended me to go to the practice and see Dr. Kiyan and since that first visit a few years ago i've been their regular client. Dr is AMAZING!! The energy and staff at his office really allow people to have a 5 star experience. I found this office 4-5 years ago, and even though I have gone to other dental offices in between, I always find myself going back. Dr. K is friendly, honest, thorough, and I always leave with a smile! My initial visit at the practice actually saved me money, which is rare BC other dental offices I have gone to try to rip people off. I highly recommend trying the practice out!
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Mehdizadeh and his dental practice!! I have been a patient for several years, and I would not trust my teeth to anyone else. Yes, the office is stunning and hospitable, and the staff is so friendly and courteous... but at the end of the day, I'm primarily concerned with the person taking care of my teeth. Dr. M is supremely patient and highly skilled at what he does. When I first saw him, I had to have some work fixed that had been done by a previous dentist that I was pretty upset about. He was very kind and immediately made me feel at ease - and without me even having to explain to him what was wrong, he commented on how rough the edges were from the fillings of the previous dentist and how the color was all off and that it was just unacceptable, and he would fix it. I knew right then that we were on the same page - I wanted excellent care for my teeth that was comfortable and looked good, and Dr. M certainly delivers. Go to the practice - you won't be disappointed, and you won't go anywhere else again, either! :)

I am so thankful that I went to the practice to get my teeth whitened. Little did I know, I was there for more than just that! I ended up getting an x-ray of my teeth and had a lot more work that needed to be done. the practice taught me the importance of taking care of my teeth and even more helped me out financially with what I needed to get done. With no insurance, I got my bill down by almost 3,000 dollars and signed up for their dental plan that cut my prices 10-30% off on what I needed. Like I said, I am beyond thankful to be with the family at the practice, and their staff was so kind. I cant wait for more people to experience the lovely office, staff and get the help they need. I just left Dr. Mehdizadeh's office and can honestly say that he and his team provide 5 star service in a professional environment. I've been to many dentists in my life, but was pleasantly surprised to see cutting edge techniques employed that I had never seen before. I like how DR. M takes the time to explain the details of the procedure while directly showing you on photos of your own teeth. I definitely felt like I was in competent hands and could rest easy during my visit. I have the WORST anxiety when I have to go to the dentist. Dr. Mehdizadeh and his team made me feel extremely at home throughout the entire process. I got my teeth cleaned and whitened and had not one ounce of pain or discomfort! Their entire staff was helpful and thorough from start to finish and I cannot wait to come back and see them! I came in with a broken tooth and was very quickly put at ease with my options. I left with an even better plan that Would not only correct my broken tooth but get my smile to all be as perfect /straight/ white as I would like. I've had various TERRIBLE dentist/orthodontist, so when a close and trusted friend recommended the practice to me, I was up to try it. I am SO HAPPY I did! The staff is very friendly, the office is bright, clean, well kept and has a cozy feel to it. I had crowns another dentist office had put on a couple teeth, which had fallen out not even 2 years later. When I came in to have them redone, I could tell the practice was going to do a great job because the temporary piece didn't fall out, like it did at the other office! I've also had teeth cleanings here, and minor fillings. Never have I felt like I was being taken advantage of and I definitely feel like everyone at the practice cares and are highly qualified. Definitely try them out if you're in the area and looking for a good, honest, dentist office!
As someone who has never been a fan of dentists and has been given the run around/bad experiences, etc, I'm always hesitant when trying a new dentist. I had just moved to San Diego and a co worker recommended the practice to me, so I booked my first appt not knowing what to expect. Three years later, I can't imagine ever going to another dentist! Dr. M transformed my smile! When I tell people I had veneers done they say my dentist is an artist and I agree. He did a great job making them look so natural people can't even tell the difference. I had a lot of cosmetic issues with my teeth so I needed to make sure that I found a dentist where the price was reasonable, that the dentist had experience with veneers, and that I felt comfortable working with. After seeing five dentist prior to meeting Dr. M, I knew that he had all my check boxes marked. Not only did I get veneers on the front four teeth but I also had gum contouring, teeth whitening and a retainer replaced. Even after moving to LA, I still continue to see him for my normal cleanings. Hands down the best dentist I've ever been to!!! Highly recommend!

I had gotten a quote from the other guys that run commercials all day but just wasn't 100% sold. After doing some more research I luckily found Dr. Mehdizadeh. You immediately feel comfortable in the office with everyone smiling and after speaking with him realized I had made the right choice. My experience with the practice was one of my best dental experiences ever. (And I've had a lof of them in my life). Had a few procedures done (gum lift, whitening, crown and smile design), I was initially very worried about the whole process but Dr Mehdizadeh, the lab, and the great team made me feel relaxed and comfortable the whole time. When you think about changing your smile don't try to look for cheap/fast alternatives, this place knows how to provide the best plan for your smile and budget. I couldn't ask for better results. He is very professional, friendly, and makes sure that you are comfortable. He's very careful to ensure there's no pain at all. I've been impressed with his modern, up-to-date techniques and the way he explains everything using photos so that you can see exactly what he's going to do in advance. Dr. Mehdizadeh is a fantastic dentist and his office is beautiful! I moved to San Diego 1.5 years ago and have always had a wonderful experience. Recently, I experienced a front tooth fracture and called to see if the office could squeeze me in for an emergency appointment. Graciously, Dr. Mehdizadeh offered to stay late to see me the next day since my work schedule is not flexible and I had a full schedule of patients to see myself. I've never experienced any type of tooth trauma so I was pretty apprehensive when I got to the office but he was very informative, knowledgable, and reassuring about my treatment and prognosis. The office staff has always been really friendly and helpful and they always offer drinks and snacks when I arrive! The office itself is modern, sleek, and immaculate and they even give patients lavender scented warm towels at the end of each visit. The only suggestion I have is offering protective glasses at the beginning of the visits. I am so impressed with the practice and I have recommended this dentist office to my friends and co-workers!

I just finished my course of treatment at the practice and I have to say I am sad to be finished! (But super happy with my new smile!) from start to finish my experience was top notch. The receptionists, Jasmine and Melissa, were always so friendly and helpful, and I loved the gentle nature of Ellie, one of the dental hygienists (Hi Ellie! I miss you already!) And of course, last but certainly not least- Dr. M. That man is an artist. He can take one look and lay out a plan for your best smile. I had different treatment options and never once felt pressure to go one way or another. I was 100% comfortable throughout the entire process. I am more confident with my *now* perfect teeth and I get compliments constantly. I smile more and don't cringe when I look at pictures of myself. That in and of itself is priceless. I've always been someone who would put off going to the dentist for many foolish reasons, but when a co-worker recommended I visit the practice I finally felt comfortable and confident. From the moment you arrive the front desk and waiting area is clean and modern. Their x-ray machine isn't the uncomfortable one where you have to have multiple bite-wings, but instead it circles around you. I was seen by the hygienist, who was nice and knowledgable, for a much needed cleaning. It was then followed by a thorough review with Dr. Kiyan. The icing on cake was afterwards we came up with a game plan to maintain good dental health. It felt like I had a team dedicated to keeping my teeth in top shape and I appreciated their honesty and support. Can't wait until the next appointment!

Going to the dentist is never fun! However, my experience with the practice has changed that. The staff at the practice are top notch and Dr. Kiyan is very helpful in assuring you have a flawless, self-satisfying smile to show off to the world. You will not be able to walk out his office unless he knows your teeth are 100% PERFECT. Nobody should have to hide their smile, therefore, by the time Dr. is done with your teeth you will be able to look into the mirror with a happy smile yourself along with showing off your smile to the public. At the practice, your dental work is the most pain free hands down! You will not feel a single pinch of pain through your road to a perfect mouth. So if you are in need of a perfect smile to show, the practice is the way to go!
I got a complete dental implant here and from start to finish, my experience was amazing. The staff is so sweet and knowledgeable and the doctor really takes his time with you, explaining everything and showing you exactly his plans. I highly recommend giving this dental office a try for anything you need done.
These people are God's among dentistst. After reading the glowing reviews on Yelp I decided to come here after my last dentist told Mei had a fun infection and was told I needed a $6000 laser procedure to fix it. It was clear from our first interaction that Dr. Mehdizadeh knew what he was talking about, he was very professional and he put my mind at ease about my infection. About 2 weeks later he performed a small surgery that got rid of it and things great ever since. I also can't say enough great things about the office staff. Everyone is very friendly, professional, and they play the best music. If you are looking for a new dentist this is certainly the place to go!!!

Ok follow up review- I still go to the practice and continue to love it. I had a dental assistant do my cleaning this time and she was so careful about my sensitive teeth and even put fluoride on at the end and plans to the next few visits to help combat my sensitivity. I had s gym graft procedure done to bulk up my front gums on the bottom because I have a lot of recession and it was a very easy and painless process. Today they went over the plan for me to correct the recession on my other teeth with a new procedure using even less invasive techniques that will be more cost effective for me. I appreciate the care they take with me at each visit, especially someone like me whose sensitive gumline has made dental visits something I feared in the past, even for simple cleanings. Thanks guys! I started going to this dentist after my friend raved that she was "obsessed with them." I have really sensitive teeth and, like most people, I think, have a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist. Dr. Kiyan and his staff are wonderful. When I go in for cleanings, he always takes into account my tooth sensitivity and checks in constantly asking how it's feeling. Today I went in to get a cavity filled, which I haven't done in 20+ years. I was so terrified... For no reason. I didn't feel a thing, not the shot in the beginning to numb my mouth, not any part of the procedure at all. Not only that, Dr. Kiyan made sure to explain every step before proceeding, warning me about any sounds, tastes, etc. that I might hear or taste so that there were no surprises. He and his assistant checked in on me the whole time and talked to me to distract me. Oh, and the whole thing took all of 30 minutes start to finish when I was anticipating an hour. Hands down the best dental experience. Thank you all at the practice for truly taking the time to make sure your patients are well taken care of, both dentally and mentally :)

Dr. M is AMAZING! I've been coming into the practice for years, Ryan, Melissa, & everyone on the staff at the practice is beyond helpful and accommodating. Currently Dr. M is treating me with clear correct, meaning I have to come in every couple of weeks. the practice always is understanding of my busy traveling schedule and helps me get an appointment that works for me. My teeth are already looking amazing, after having braces when I was younger some of my teeth had moved. I plan on getting veneers after my treatment after seeing how great Dr. Ms other patients look.

I LOVE the practice. At last my search is done... A friend recommended I see what they can do for my teeth and after doing my own research, I felt confident this was the place for me. Once I arrived at my appointment I realized why the reviews were great, I must admit I was a little bit skeptical because of some reviews, but I figured hey, you can't please everyone and there is always some crazy kook out there . Everyone was friendly and professional. Dr. Kiyan is such an amazing person, he explained everything to me in such a way I felt like I could speak the dental lingo. I loved my cleaning, very thorough and gentle. Everything that I needed to know from finances to my next appointment and the details of what I could expect was explained to me. I have had my share of dental experiences and I have to say that this group of individuals work in sync to achieve the best is always delivered. However, time and time again, Dr. Kiyan proved me he's among the best at his practice. His qualities include paying attention to details, listening to his patients and also showing superior amount of patience. My wife and I have done multiple operations including an implant, wisodm tooth extraction, invisialign and after all, I cannot be happier with my smile. 2 years ago, I was doubtful that I could ever have such a confident big smile, but thanks to Dr. Kiyan I do now :-)Big thank you!

After having experienced sub par results with major dental surgery I had a few years ago, I decided to do my research and go with a dentist who would be able to fix the damage that was done due to my previous surgery, as well as additional restorative and cosmetic dental work. I live in LA, and after having a few consultations with dentists in my areas, I chose to drive 2.5 to 3 hours to San Diego to meet Dr. Kiyan and his staff. I'm so glad I did! He and his staff have been nothing but kind and professional. I truly feel like he cares about my results and his staff have been so accommodating, making this dental journey a positive experience for me. I have a few visits left and it will be bittersweet when it'll finally be over. But guess who's coming the practice to get their dental cleanings from now on... me with the pearly whites. The best part of this office is that everyone I had any interaction with was so friendly, kind and caring. Dr M did an emergency adjustment when I only went in for a consultation and allowed me to walk out with a tooth where there wasn't one after an accident, I'm SO grateful. His gentle and clear guidance as to what I need is much appreciated. The office is beautiful and has all the tech but the best part is that it's full of heart.

Dr. Mehdizadeh is incredible. I had to get a front tooth extracted due to a crack. Being a front tooth, I wanted to make sure I found the best option, and I'm confident I did. During my consultation, Dr. Mehdizadeh is thoroughly went through my treatment options and explained the entire procedure, timeline, costs and never rushed through anything. It's clear that he stays up to date with modern dentistry and techniques. His staff is also beyond helpful. My schedule has been a mess, and the staff has been able to work through everything that has come up. The extraction was simple and painless and am actually looking forward to the rest of the procedure. the practice is completely different than standard dentistry's that are run like a business. At the practice, the emphasis is put on you and only you. Hands down best dental experience.
Excellent place to get any orthodontic work. I saw Dr. Mehdizadeh for Invisalign vs. Clear Correct. I ended up going with Clear Correct invisible corrective retainers. I am here to say they work awesome! My teeth showed major improvement in the first 2 months. I am in the final stages of the trays and cannot wait to see the final result. Dr. M and the whole team at the practice are professional, courteous, and friendly. Everyone is very thorough to explain what your teeth will go through and help you through all the options. My experience with the practice was awesome! I went in considering clear correct and now after about 6 Months I'm almost done with my treatment. The process was very easy; it was just a matter of getting started to get the timeline going. I would come in about every 2 months to get my new trays and the appts were so were so fast and convenient (max 25 min). The staff is so nice! Making and adjusting appts was no hassle. Overall a great experience that I would recommend to anyone looking to straighten their teeth.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mehdizadeh, for almost four years, and have been more than pleased with him and the results of his work. Kiyan, the practice | La Jolla, is by far the best dental practice and results that I have ever had and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for expertise and professional dental care.
I recently visited the practice for a consultation and had a wonderful experience. When I first walked in the ladies at the front desk, Melissa and Jazmin, offered me water and coffee so already I felt the environment was welcoming. Dr. Mehdizadeh was very thorough and attentive during the consultation which made me feel the he really did care about my teeth. He ended up replacing my silver filling with a porcelain one which did not take long, nor did it hurt. He and his assistant were very gentle and professional during the procedure. Dr. Mehdizadeh made sure he answered all my questions and let me know that if I had any issues to contact him or his staff which makes me feel like I am an important person to them. The hospitality is great and Dr. Mehdizadeh is excellent at what he does! I would definitely recommend the practice to anyone who loves great service and their teeth! I traveled from L. After years of hating my smile And not doing anything abut it, I finally took the leap and went to a friend recommended doctor, Dr. Mehdizadeh. It was such an easy process, they laid down my payment options and a detailed plan for my smile makeover. Dr. Mezizadeh wanted to make sure I truly loved my new smile. After my Veneers were put in, I wasn't 100% convinced with my smile due to a bad root canal I had received from a prior dentist and wasn't happy with my gum line. It was to my surprise, that he repositioned my lip free of Charge to fix that tiny insecurity. He was so great and accommodating. I love the results and get compliments on the daily. I love that they look natural and not overly flashy. They're honest and follow up even after the workIs done. I would definitely recommend.
Dr. Kiyan is nothing short of amazing. He was very patient with my aversion to dental work and took wonderful care of me. Melissa was so informative and did a phenomenal job supporting me through the process and ensuring I was informed on what to expect with regards to after care. She even called me in the days following my procedure just to check on me. Elle was wonderful as well she took her time and did a beautiful job whitening my teeth, she's a joy to be around. I am soo pleased with the dental work I had done at the practice, dare I say I'm even excited to return. Dr. Kiyan far surpassed my expectation with his professionalism, kindness, fun spirit, and his meticulous talent for precision and detail. I had 5 teeth surgically extracted in addition to my cosmetic procedure and I am an doing great, only experiencing mild discomfort and virtually no swelling. My fiancé and I both go to the practice. We have been patients with Dr. Kiyan for a couple years now and couldn't be happier to find such a great dentist after moving to a new city. His work is extraordinary. My fiancé had far more dental work than I have and everything healed perfectly without any complications. Several of my friends experienced bleeding or dry sockets when they had their wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Kiyan works with such precision that it was never an issue with healing. Down the road, I do plan on getting veneers. I follow the practice on instagram (I suggest you check it out) his work is spectacular. I saw some negative reviews, seemingly pertaining to unnecessary treatments and billing issues. I think Dr. Kiyan's goal is to give everyone a perfect smile... and unfortunately dental work can get costly. He's more than a dentist to clean your teeth, he wants to elevate what you have. That's why I think he is so great. I highly recommend him, but he isn't the cheapest (and shouldn't be because he does great work)

It had been a while since my last cleaning. I had an exam at another San Diego dentist where they said that I needed a deep cleaning where it would have to be split into 2 appts to numb my mouth. They also stated that they saw at least 10 cavities, although they did not show in the x-rays. It would be about $2000, not covered under my insurance. I walked out without a cleaning, they just seemed sketchy. A quick Google search turned up the practice. Booking was easy, staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Turns out I did not have any cavities and my cleaning was slightly more uncomfortable but I did not need two appts. It was still less than an hour that I was in the chair. The end result was amazing. Definately recommend!

I had 4 implants done by Dr. David Yu and then restorative treatment by Dr. Kiyan. Due to my own medical circumstances I had to wait a long time before I could get the restorative process started. I was tired of temporary teeth that would fall off and was so ready to get permanent ones that I said the new ones looked good, that I could live with them. He kept asking if I was really satisfied and I kept saying, "yes". They were placed along with the other front crown (redone to match the implanted one) that was permanently cemented. I was so happy to be biting into food for the first time in over a year, but when I looked in the mirror, I didn't really like what I saw. It wasn't what I was accustomed to all my life. Although they looked good to everyone else, they didn't look right to me. I was in too big a hurry to get permanent teeth to eat with. After a month of trying to accept them I became very discouraged. Dr Yu encouraged me to call Dr. Kiyan and have him re-do them. I was reluctant for fear of what Dr Kiyan would say or how he'd react, but he responded to my email with, call the front desk to make an appointment so we can go over everything together. Since they were permanently cemented and the implanted one permanently affixed to the abutment, I had to pay a fee for lab and another abutment, otherwise his time was free. This time I took my time to be very exact with the shape I wanted and Dr. Kiyan worked with me to accomplish just that. I even whitened my teeth before having the new ones made. He put the new ones in temporarily and said, "to sleep on them" so I could look at them in the mirror at home every day and when I came back in he would make whatever changes I wanted. When I smile now, I know it's my smile. I couldn't be happier had they actually been my own real teeth. From day one, Dr. Kiyan and his office staff have always been very professional, polite, personable and very knowledgeable. They are all very caring and try to work you in quickly. I really did become like family in his office. He takes his time with you and really cares about the outcome. He's always asking, "are you OK? Do you have any questions?" He explains everything and really wants you to be satisfied with the work he does. My insurance doesn't cover him to be my regular dentist, but I would go back in a heart beat to have restorative care done. He and his office have all my respect!
My experience at the practice has been great so far. The entire staff are friendly and welcoming and really know how to put you at ease. I've had a lot of dental work done over the years and I've never seen such a beautiful office as the one at the practice. Dr Mehdizadeh is the best
There is a reason why the practice gets 5-star reviews over & over again. Dr. Kiyan and his staff are amazing. I haven't been to the dentist in years because I usually hate going and because i'm the worst dental patient ever. But i had a painful tooth and had to go. Thankfully I found the practice! The technology is state of the art. No more hard x-ray films jammed in your mouth. His machine is a small camera placed in the front of your mouth and then the camera moves around you. All x-rays done in mere minutes. Cleaning was great. No pain. Had to have a replacement crown. Dr. k was very gentle with the novocaine , and explained everything that was going to happen as it happened. He's got a really kind and calm personality which is also good when you're sitting back listening to the sound of the drill. My temporary was also made of some new material, which also seems better than most temporaries that i've had in the past. When i explained that i was having some residual pain from a root canal, he took the time to fully explain why, drew a picture so that it was easy to understand, and let me know that it should go away within a week, but to check back if it didn't or if it got worse. As he predicted, it got better.... I really appreciate his skill as a dentist, but also his calming demeanor which is key for people who have anxiety at the dentist. I found my dentist for life!

I think Dr. Kiyan may be the best dentist in the world~and though I have not been to all of them I have been to a lot! He combines scientific dental knowledge and skill with the rare aesthetic sense of beingable to predict the most cosmetically pleasing outcome for the individual patient. Unlike most dentists he will not try to talk you into expensive procedures you don't really need. In fact he will advise you against them if they are not in your best interest. He takes a genuine interest in his patients and is a perfectionist in his work (something one appreciates in a dentist!) Everyone in his office is exceptionally friendly as well as helpful and attentive. Dr. Kiyan changed my life by making it possible for me to smile without trying to hidemy teeth!

You walk in the door and are greeted by name, everything from the cleaning to any procedure is explained to you thoroughly, and the office is state of the art. Love the fact for x-rays I just have to bite down on a little stick like thing, and the machine scans around me; no more uncomfortable or gagging when trying to get the film in my mouth. I've had such horrible experiences with dentists in the past, and Dr. Kiyan has not only fixed their errors, but has now addressed all the underlying issues too. In just over a year I went from dreading walking into a cleaning due to finding out what procedure I needed next, to walking out today knowing I won't have to return until my next cleaning. Very clean place and state of the art. Everyone was super nice and Dr Mehdizadeh did a wonderful job making sure I understood my options and different procedures. The only thin I would change would be the 3rd party insurance verification. It would have been nice to walk away with numbers after insurance.
Dr. Mehdizadeh and his staff are on top of their game. They are professional, personable, and go above and beyond to make sure you're taken care of. I couldn't be happier with my results and I would recommend the practice to anyone looking for a cosmetic dentist who also puts the health of your teeth at the forefront.

My first experience at a dentist that I actually enjoyed. From the moment I walked in you could tell this is a different kind of dentist. The office was clean, organized, bright and modern. The staff was super friendly and Dr. Kiyan was professional, and down to earth. Plus he took the time to make sure I understood everything in detail (something I don't think any dentist has ever done). I was told to visit the practice and Dr. Kiyan by a friend and I definitely wasn't disappointed. I am happy to recommend anyone else give them a visit too.

I highly recommend the practice and Dr. Kiyan. I first went to see him about two years ago to start Clear Correct invisible braces. I was so pleased with the results and have been going back for cleanings and to get my wisdom teeth removed. The invisible braces has been some of the best money I've ever invested into myself and I guarantee I smile more often and more genuinely now that I love my smile. Dr. Kiyan and his staff are kind, accommodating, and good at what they do. The office is impeccably clean, bright, and I don't feel the same stress about going there that I do with other dentists.

Dr. Kiyan and his staff were very patient in explaining the procedure from beginning to end. I do not believe you will get any better results anywhere else in San Diego or LA. I did a lot of research for the best cosmetic dentist in San Diego and Dr. Kiyan kept coming in at the top of the list. He is constantly doing continuing education and is up to date on the latest cutting edge procedures. You have no choice but to leave with a perfect smile since he will not put on the permanents until you say they are perfect in color, shape, and size! He also explains how to make them look natural and the huge advancements veneers have made since the fake looking ones from years ago. Your smile and teeth will absolutely look perfect and natural when he is finished since you are the final decision maker. No need to look anywhere else, this guy rocks!
I had the best experience by far in the dental office. Office is clean, front desk is very nice and welcoming. Melissa that took my X-ray very nice and pleasant lady. And Dr. Kiyan (hope spelled it right) is by far the nicest and very pleasant approachable dentist I've ever met. He explained everything about my teeth and what he sees in the X-ray. Definitely took the time to clean my teeth up, the longest a dentist that actually cleaned my teeth. Thank you so much!!! Most people hate going to the dentist but I have no problem going to the practice. They have the best facility with the most welcoming staff. I've had my wisdom teeth out and general cleanings and have enjoyed every experience I've had here and highly recommend them. The office itself will keep you coming back, but the care you get is what makes this place 5 star worthy.
What a great consultation yesterday! It was so informative and put me at ease in making important decisions. The consultation was free and not rushed. He explained everything, educated me and answered my questions throughout. It gave me a great basis to know my options for an improved smile. The staff is welcoming, warm and friendly!
Both my wife and I were new patients. The care we received was exactly what we needed to understand a very comprehensive restoration process. The financial and time factors were detailed so we could make a comprehensive plan going forward understanding the procedures involved. This place is amazing!! I have never felt more comfortable in a dental office before, everything is clean (I don't think there is a spec of dust in the place) Dr. Kiyan and his staff are all extremely kind and personable (they remember everything about me, call me by my first name, it feels like they have known me my entire life!). I have been going there for the past year for my clear correct and I honestly feel like after I'm done with the treatment, I might just stop by a few times a month just to say hi because I'm really going to miss seeing everyone! I VERY strongly recommend this office to anyone looking for a comfortable, feels like home, type of environment. Dr. Kiyan and his staff are the best!

Fantastic dentist and a very warm and friendly assistant. Dr. Kiyan has state of the art x-rays and he takes closeup digital fotos and shares them with you while you're in the chair. He's painless of course and his work is Michaelangelo in quality. I had 3 onlays and a crown replaced. I can't say enough about his quality. Oh, and he also performs his own cleanings. I also want to say that Dr. Kiyan and Melissa make me feel like family. I'll never go anywhere else.
I cannot begin to express the gratitude I feel towards the entire staff at the practice. I came to the practice with an ENORMOUS amount of anxiety and fear of the dentist, and left feeling like I had finally gotten back control of my oral health. I was in tears at my initial consultation due to fear and the entire office staff was so supportive and sympathetic towards me which was enormously touching. Dr. Kiyan helped me to regain control not only of my oral health, but also helped me to conquer a fear that I had of the dentist for the better part of the last 20 years. I no longer require IV sedation for routine fillings etc (which if you knew me prior, I needed IV sedation for even a cleaning my anxiety was so severe). The entire office staff are angels and I hold them all dear in my heart for the kindness they have shown to me. Dr. Mehdizadeh is great. I have had several consultations around San Diego for a dental implant and I feel very confident with everyone here at the practice. I also really like that they can do virtually everything in this one office. My dental implant is on a front tooth so it's already a scary situation for me, but Dr. M really cares about how it will look when the job is done. His attention to detail is ridiculous. Not only did he fully explain the whole process to be, he also 'enlightened' me on so many little details that he alone brought up about how to make the new tooth look as natural as possible. After the consultation, I thought which all the attention to detail, and new looking office and equipment he would be a more expensive doctor, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the quote to get the all the work done was very reasonable.

10 Months ago I looking for a dentist, my teeth were a disaster. My upper right side bridge broke and so did the teeth that were holding it together. My left upper had 2 implants done elsewhere and were never in right. The enamel on my front teeth were worn down and yellowing. I had been to two other dentists and was given a dental plan that only addressed the broken bridge and didn't make sense financially. I didn't know what I was going to do and then I was referred to the practice! From the minute I called the practice I knew I made the right choice. It just got better and better. Dr. Kiyan gave me options! Yes Options! I picked the dental plan that was right for me. And here I am 10 months later smiling! I no longer have to worry that my teeth are going to fall out when flossing or eating. Dr. Kiyan fixed my bite and my smile! The last time my teeth looked this good I was 18! The office is stunning, clean, modern and has the most up to date equipment. Dr. Kiyan and Ellie work closely together and you know how great a job they are doing because everything flows and is actually fun! I never thought I'd look forward to going to the dentist! I have a crazy schedule but Jazmine was always able book me in and I never waited! Ryan checked in on me after I had my implants done and it was the weekend! Remi is a Yorkie that visits and couldn't be any cuter. Melissa always checked in on my progress as my smile was being rebuilt. The team at the practice is Awesome! I learned about Dr. Kiyan and the practice from my boss at work. Normally a dentist recommendation goes something like "Yeah, he/she is pretty good, if you're in the market for a Dentist they'd be a pretty good choice." The recommendation I got was more along the lines of "If you don't already have a dentist or are looking for one, I've just made your decision for you. The place is beautiful, the Dr. is the nicest coolest guy in the world, and you just feel taken care of."Not a normal dentist recommendation, but the perfect summary of a trip to the practice. I hadn't been to the dentist in an embarrassing amount of time, but there was no shame or scolding in my visit, just a lot of clear information, and a friendly chat about what I needed to do, and what other treatments I would benefit from. After my initial cleaning I was back in 2 weeks for more treatment, and there was none of that childhood "Dentist Dread". I knew I was going to be in good hands and there wouldn't be any more discomfort than necessary... and as it turns out there wasn't any at all! I only wish every health/medical encounter I could need would go as smoothly and comfortably in such a friendly atmosphere as the the practice offices!
I recently moved to San Diego and found the practice with Google. I just had my first visit to discuss a necessary extraction which will be followed by an implant. The entire process will require multiple visits spread out over one year. I was blown away by the high-tech ambiance and friendly staff. Dr. M explained every step of the process in an un-rushed manner and patiently answered all my questions. I have never seen an office setup like this. You sit back in a comfortable dentist chair and look out through a glass wall at a forrest of lush green trees. I'm looking forward to a pleasant, successful experience.
After years, actually decades, of avoiding the dentist, I was having issues.... not surprisingly. I did a little research and found the practice, based on their use of sedation as well as their great reviews. I was convinced I would probably need full sedation to survive even a basic cleaning. After 3 visits - consultation, cleaning/filling re-placement, and a re-visit for sensitivity - I couldn't be happier. I simply needed something for anxiety the day of the cleaning appointment - much less than I thought I would need! The biggest reason for that is the staff. Everything about the practice is designed to keep the patient's comfort in mind. Jasmine and Ryan are so welcoming and friendly. Melissa and Dr. Kiyan were amazing at making sure I was comfortable and understood everything they were doing. Since I have found my new dental home, I can actually be concerned about my dental health for the first time in quite a few years. Thank you, staff at the practice!

This place is so welcoming! I am very happy with my results. The teeth are not yet finished, but I am more than pleased with the results thus far. AND sometimes you are greeted by Remy, the cutest little dog, it's a huge plus to have her around, she is the best! Everyone that works here is warm and actually care very much about the service they provide. Also they work really well with my work schedule. My work schedule is from 8:30 -5:00pm and it was really difficult finding a dental office that works outside these hours. Dr. Kiyan came in early plenty of times to work on my teeth outside of business hours and that to me means that he will go above and beyond for his patients. Embarrassingly enough I was not able to make it to one of my early morning visits and I had to cancel 30 minutes before my actual appointment. Even after this the doctor still continued to work around my schedule! Super accommodating! Getting veneers is a huge decision and I am so glad I went with my gut instincts this time and chose the right doctor. This place is amazing!!! I honestly have always had a phobia of the dentist since I was a little girl. This was my first time getting my teeth worked on in over ten years due to my phobia! I needed a wisdom tooth pulled out and I found the practice on yelp. Sure enough their 5 star reviews were very true. The staff and my overall experience was great. I was back to work the next day with no pain at all.
Everything feels different in this office. Dr. Kiyan is amazing, he has the nicest staff. The doctor spends so much time explaining everything regarding your procedure. I first went a year and half ago when I bought the Groupon for a cleaning and x-rays then just went again for another cleaning today. The staff is so friendly, the office itself is bright, clean, simple and state of the art. the practice makes going to the dentist enjoyable and something to look forward to with their warmth, professionalism and espresso :) I bought some bleach for my teeth and can't wait to use it for my wedding in October!

They also provide a warm, aromatherapy towel to wipe your mouth when you are all finished. Prepare to be blown away in every way imaginable.
He's a great dentist. You can tell he makes sure you are satisfied with his work. I still get a little scared coming in to a dentist from experiences from my old dentist. He recognized my root canal, should of had a crown, and my old dentist didnt do the root canal correctly which caused an infection, so he suggested an endodontics.
My family loves to come to the practice! I never thought my teenage daughter would love to go to the dentist:) We love the friendly service and being treated like family but most importantly, the expertise and advice of Dr Kiyan. Dr Kiyan Mehdizadeh helped me removed a impacted wisdom tooth, along with two other normal wisdom teeth at the same time, using IV sedation. The procedure was painless, and the healing time was approximately one and a half week. It is really awesome. I used to be so afraid of seeing dentist because I thought it was too painful. But this experience changed my mind completely. Also, the dental office is located in an high end office building, and is clean, and professional. Staff is friendly and helpful. In addition, you get to meet his yorkshire terrier, who is lovely and capable of calming you down before the surgery :)Overall, 5 Star experience
I'm picky with most things but especially who I have take care of personal services like dental work. I can't say enough good things about the entire staff at the practice. They are absolute professionals and welcome each client in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Unlike most places who use hygienists, Dr. K does client cleanings himself! I'm using their services for dental cleanings and clear correct braces and would highly recommend this team to anyone.

Hands down, the best dental practice I've ever been to. As a healthcare professional, I am very critical of other healthcare providers. That being said, I could not be happier with my many experiences at the practice. For instance, I had my first route canal there because a cavity grew too close to the nerve. The entire process was explained beforehand and at each visit, all my questions answered, and costs were broken down. Before and after xrays were explained to me in great detail. The best part is, I had the hiccups and Dr. Kiyan still performed the procedure, pausing and removing the instruments every six seconds or so. It was a very underwhelming experience in the best way possible. Dr. Kiyan focuses on one patient at a time. Drinks, chapstick, and snacks are offered every time I come in. Sometimes, the couple that runs the office has their well behaved cutie dog Remy to help provide pet therapy. There is an answering service for after hours issues and I have always gotten prompt responses to questions. It seems like their practice has grown quite a bit in recent history, and the support staff have all been fantastic as well. The office itself has ample parking, is clean, has a nice view from the comfortable dental chair, and most importantly is run by two very focused, competent and passionate individuals.

Simply the best. I have gone to many dentists in my life, but I have ever encounter any with the exceptional customer service of the practice. From the moment of the first phone call, they have been flawless. They have a very cool and funky office, and all employees are super cool. Feels modern and energizing. Had my four wisdom teeth pulled last night; I was dreading the experience upfront but the practice made it a walk in the park. I travel a lot and it was difficult to find the time; they accommodated me and set up the surgery for 6pm on a Friday!; Can you believe that? That is customer service! What other office would ever do that? Some of the other people I had called had given me appointments to see me in 2 months! I am switching to them for all my dentistry needs. Have also referred family and friends and they all attest to exceptional customer service and quality. Highly recommend them!

I was new to La Jolla and went to the practice because of the stellar Yelp reviews and I am so happy with the treatment I received! I needed massive restorative work and have loathed going to the dentist because of this. They made crowning my whole mouth as bearable and affordable as possible and I don't think I could have done the work elsewhere. I just finished up 18 months of Invisalign and at the end of my treatment, I realized I wasn't thrilled with the shape of my eye teeth. The braces moved themas much as possible, but it just wasn't a shape that I was happy with, so I decided go invest in bonding to fill in the gaps of my pointy canines. So I looked up the best cosmetic orthodos in San Diego, and after consulting with two docs, I knew the practice was it! Their offices are immaculate and their staff is phenomenal! I'm so grateful with the outcome of my cosmetic bonding that I highly recommend them to everyone for ALL of your dental needs!

I found Dr. Kiyan through yelp and was excited to go into the initial consultation for gum contouring. I got the procedure done while finishing my treatment at another dentist for Invisalign. I've always had a gummy smile, so I was determined to get it done so when I asked the dentist doing my Invisalign about the procedure they said they could do it, but thought that I didn't really need it; I could tell they were iffy about it. I wanted someone who was excited to get me to my goal, so that's why I was relieved when I came here. They have reasonable prices and when I told my Invisalign dentist I was getting it done elsewhere, they said they could match the practice's price, but I felt more comfortable with Dr. Kiyan, and I'm happy with my results! Everyone there is genuinely nice, Ryan is always (seemingly) happy to answer questions and a relief to talk to when dealing with not so fun stuff. Thanks team at the practice!
Hello fellow mouth connoisseurs! So, I don't really yelp very much. I'm too busy. However, I wanted to give a quick shout out, because I just went through a big transformation. I called the practice one day because I had a goal of fixing my teeth. I had something happen (not sure what) to one of my front teeth so it ended up dying and changing color. I also blame genetics and a few years of terrible American junk food (I'm a fitness trainer now so I could help you with that, too;). I was actually ashamed to smile, believe it or not. Being self- conscious of your smile is a very sad ordeal. :( My phone call to the practice that day was great. Ryan was absolutely wonderful in giving me the information I needed. He was always, always very helpful to me with any questions I had. I went in for my appointment not thinking I would be able to fix my situation anytime in the near future. It was a goal of mine, but one that seemed slightly unattainable. I didn't know how it was going to work out. They had a deal for veneers going, so I wanted to see about it. Luckily, at my consultation, I could immediately tell Dr. Kiyan was passionate about what he does. He is an artist of sorts. I wouldn't trust an average Joe to explain all of this stuff to me, and then actually create it in my mouth. He told me that I couldn't do Lumineers because of what was going on and I would need veneers. I already knew this, but he validated it for me. So, he explained the process. It was great. A LOT of information. I was glad to have too much than not enough. The veneer process could be much worse, and although it's a little traumatic (think shots and shaving down your teeth), I was made as comfortable as possible. Speed ahead because I don't want this to be too long, but my entire experience at the practice was great. I was able to have a say in the entire decision making process for how my teeth were going to look. My new veneers are so beautiful and white and I can finally smile and not worry. Firstly, I must confess that I get anxiety from the moment I hear the word "dentist". I have had many bad experiences in the past of which I will not bore you with. With the practice & its staff however, I felt alleviated as soon as I spoke with Ryan over the phone, and the care continued on when I arrived and met with Melissa and of course Dr. Kiyan. Not only do they make you feel at ease and cater to your every need but their confidence and professionalism is out of this world. I am definitely looking forward to going back there again. This is my first Yelp review. I was so thrilled by the service and care I received at the practice that I feel inspired to write this review! After my first visit I referred my boyfriend to the practice, and he was also very happy - so much so, that even though we have moved to Northern California, we will probably schedule our dental appointments during trips back to San Diego. Right from my first interaction with the practice, I knew I had found a great business because Ryan, the office manager, was so pleasant to interact with and thorough. Then, during my visit, Dr, Kiyan provided excellent care, paid close attention to detail, explained everything clearly, and really earned my trust as a health care professional. Both Ryan and Kiyan made me feel very appreciated. I highly recommend the practice for your dental needs - they are the real deal!!!
It almost seems superfluous, with so many other 5 star reviews, to add my own, but as a doctor I wanted to say how much I appreciated the way Dr. Mehdizadeh conducts his practice. He is smart, caring, and thorough. The suite is clean and high-tech. His staff is wonderful. I was given an excellent dental exam and clear explanation of findings. I generally take care of my teeth and gums and put off going to the dentist for as long as I can. I have always found the experience distasteful, with the pictures of fish on the ceiling, the horrible music, the biting down on cardboard, and the pressure to buy things or undergo cosmetic procedures in which I have no interest. Leaving this office I felt oddly happy. A first for me. I will be referring my patients to the practice.
Best. Dentist. Ever. I've been plagued with poor dentists in the past and it has been a lifelong struggle to find one that I like. Kiyan and Ryan are absolutely amazing, and make the dentist (dare I say it...) fun! I had to get my first root canal and I was absolutely petrified. Luckily their sweet little Yorkie puppy was there to calm my nerves at the beginning, and Ryan and Kiyan kept me distracted with good conversation after that. I thought I would be in excruciating pain, but Kiyan was very gentle and I really wasn't in pain at all. One thing that I also love is that Dr. Kiyan takes photos through out the process so that I can see what had to be done, and how he handled the problem. It really does ease my mind to see all the different steps, and know that they are working so hard to make things perfect. I recommend them right and left, and can't say enough great things about them. They are kind, professional, funny, and a truly one of a kind dentist experience!

The whole staff is so welcoming - Ryan, Dr. Kiyan, Melissa, and of course, Remi, the cutest office assistant/pup one could ask for. :)Dr. Kiyan walked me through each step of the cleaning process and offered some great suggestions for keeping my smile healthy and bright. He was so attentive to my needs and made sure that even my most sensitive teeth were cared for with absolutely precision. I've never been to a dental office where the doctor spends so much time with patients doing the cleaning himself, and I am grateful for this time and care. I would highly recommend this office without reservation. They are professional, clean, friendly, and offer the best suggestions for your teeth! I was beyond overdue for a visit to a dentist, I put it off for years after an especially bad experience, so I was being pretty picky looking at Yelp reviews to choose where I wanted to go. These days it's so rare in any business to find somewhere you are treated like a person rather than just potential dollars in the cash register, but every reviewer said they felt so comfortable and well cared for at the practice that I had to see for myself. Turns out everyone else was not exaggerating at all how friendly, knowledgeable, and professional Melissa, Ryan, and Kiyan are, or how adorable Remi is! I needed a lot of work done after so long without any dentist visits, but all of my options were presented to me without any pressure. As we've started checking things off of my treatment plan, Dr Kiyan has been great about grouping procedures together in one appointment to make the most of the time, which is appreciated. It turned out that at one point a filling was going to be just fine in one place he thought we would need to do a ceramic onlay, so that's what he did rather than go ahead with the more expensive option-- certainly no surprise bait and switch billing here! I think it comes down to this: at the practice you are not going to be treated like you would at other businesses, you're going to get all the facts and you're going to be spoken to like an equal. If you're a normal reasonable person, this is SO refreshing and you feel like you're in the company of friends who care about you. If you're someone who is looking to take advantage of a small business and aren't willing to treat the people who are there to help you in a respectful way, then you're still going to get the straight facts, just like everyone else. I just love the experience I have had with the practice. It was so refreshing to not be pressured into spending more than I wanted to for esthetic dentistry. They are so friendly and genuinely nice people. The office is lovely and so pristine. I am sending everyone I know to the practice
I chose this dental practice based on Yelp reviews and I'm glad I did. Dr. Kiyan and the other professionals at the practice are exceptional. I had my first appointment today to have X-rays and my teeth cleaned. My teeth are a bit sensitive and the doctor went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable by giving me a topical anesthetic. Among many positives, everyone was kind and caring, the office was spotless, and the cute dog made me feel at ease, like a therapy dog. I guess the other yelper who didn't like the little Yorkie in the office is not going to go to hospitals either as they all have therapy dogs. This group brings their A-game when it comes to dentistry. With over 58 reviews and a 97% approval rating, it just goes to show you no matter how hard you try, you can't please everyone. the practice Dentistry is truly one of the most well run dental practices that I have ever visted. When I moved to San Diego I had no idea where I was going to go with a teenage daughter who would soon need braces. I found the practice on yelp with amazing reviews and decided to call and make an appoinment for both myself and my daughter for cleanings. When I arrived, I was greeted with a warm welcome and pleasantly surpised to walk into such an intimate dental practice with state of the art equipment and a knowledgable and progressive staff. Dr. Kiyan Mehdizadeh took his time with both of us and gave us options for my 14 year old daughter for braces. We decided to go with the most reasonable and feasable choice of Clear Corect. It was less expensive than Invisalign and the practice offers a much better price than any other dentist with outstanding service. Both my daughter and I have been happy with the results form Clear Correct and look forward to our visits with Dr. Kiyan. Ryan is always catering to my daughter and myself and always is pleasant. It is unusual to be welcomed with sparkling water, espresso, and snacks. It is unlike any other experience I have ever had at a dental office. We are fortunate to have discoverd the practice and I have refered 5 colleagues and 3 friends to the practice.
I had a wonderful experience at the practice today. Dr Kiyan was brutally and tactfully honest with the options available to me. I appreciated that his advice was not the one that would have cost me thousands of dollars and a huge amount of discomfort ( which is what I was expecting)! Instead he advised me based on what he would do in my situation which was a more conservative (and less costly) approach. What he said felt right to me. The facilities are super clean, modern, and cutting edge. I really like that they are up to date on technology and the latest in dental care. Considering check ups and cleanings are often such a chore ... isn't going to a great dentist and having a pleasant experience what we would wish for from a necessary 2x a year visit? the practice is doing it right!
I LOVE this place, and really who says that about the dentist?! I've never had a difficult time with parking and Ryan always remembers to ask me if I need my parking validated. All of the paperwork and processes were described thoroughly. The office is so welcoming and well put together. I'm always offered water and a snack. Ryan and Dr. Kiyan are friendly, knowledgeable, and put me completely at ease. They always give you undivided attention and are always on time. I don't care for the dentist one bit but I actually look forward to visiting. And Remi, oh Remi!! The cutest little pup the world has ever seen will absolutely put a smile on your face. I'm just starting the process of clear correct (braces) and will be sure to write a review for that process once it's complete. I highly recommend the practice.
Last night I had cosmetic bonding done to enlargen my two undergrown lateral incisors (next to big front teeth) and light filing. My canines appear less fangy now. The Dr. is a perfectionist. The office is ultra modern w/ state of the art equipment and he only takes one patient at a time. They have the cutest Yorkie dog, Remi, and Ryan, the manager, is super organized. He offers you mango or blueberry chapstick and a sparkling Perrier water for the road after your appointment. I'm considering getting ClearCorrect to establish a fuller smile, or as Dr. Kiyan put it- a Hollywood, knock-out home run smile. Love it!
As you can see from all of the recent reviews, I really don't have anything to explain/write about the practice and about the people here. Dr. Kiyan, well what can I say about his skills. This was my very first visit to a dentist when I had my teeth cleaned very first time after my birth ( basically after 28 years lol ). Now you might have imagined their condition when I stepped inside the clinic. Kiyan finished this job so smoothly and without causing any discomfort. Also, as Crystal B. already have it mentioned, Kiyan and Ryan never mind to adjust according to my schedule. Kiyan actually stayed late until 8pm for my dental restoration procedure(2 hours) and was actually working since 6am that day. Clinic Manager Ryan is awesome in his own way. Never had much interaction with Remi, but this fluffy puppy would definitely be the favorite part of your visit to the practice. These guys they make such a friendly, talkative and interesting environment that you won't feel like steping out of the clinic even after finishing your dental procedures. In short, if you are searching for the best service, best care, a dentist with best skills and a well managed clinic which would ensure your satisfaction in most affordable price...... My friend you are on the right Page... Just go and visit these guys,,,, just go and have a chat.. Dude... Trust me!!!!!! .. I bet the practice will be the care home for your little bony beasts in your mouth... lol

This is the only dental practice that I have ever wanted to stay at once my cleaning was over. When you enter most dentist's office it's common to have an unsettling feeling, and wonder when you will be done so that you can move on with your day and forget about the "dreadful" experience to come. While I have never experienced this feeling first-hand, out of all of the practices that I have been to before, the practice exceeds even the highest possible expectations. Whether it be their clean, personalized, and private office, or the ever charming and charismatic personalities of Ryan and Dr. Kiyan, I can say with the utmost certainty that I have never felt more comfortable with getting my teeth cleaned. Dr. Mehdizadeh made it his utmost priority to make sure that every step of the dental process was as seamless as it was comfortable for me. He began by taking a speedy, high-tech x-ray of my teeth, and went a step further to take pictures of them at several positions. On a large monitor, he then examined the photos alongside me, analyzing every possible angle. He then described the facts to me, and explained what the types of possible treatment options were available to me. What made this especially unique was that he did not attempt to force me to make any decisions, nor did he attempt to intimidate me into authorizing several "vital" procedures. The cleaning process took only a short period of time, and since he is the primary practitioner, there was no need to wait for a superior to double check the health of my teeth. Overall, I would recommend this business to anyone, from those who are reluctant to even step foot into a dentists office, to those who are just as experienced as they are confident in the setting. A wonderfully unique experience that I would describe as mastering the art of dentistry, customer service, and quelling the anxiety of their patients. Did I mention they have the most adorable little office dog too? If I could give them 6 stars, I would. 100% must try, and I most certainly be back for the years to come.
In the past, I have had terrible experiences with a lot of dentist abroad and in San Diego that I didn't want to see a dentist anymore. An example of this is that due to an incomplete root canal job, this one got infected; therefore, I had to see a dentist in San Diego to fix the problem. Having this idea in mind, I was so distressed. After reading many reviews on line, I decided to go to Dr. Kiyan. I am so glad that I did it because for the first time in many years I had a wonderful experience from the beginning to the end. Ryan, the front desk manager, is efficient, polite, and friendly. I didn't have any problem in getting a quick appointment. Dr. Kiyan is so experienced in the new dental technology, thoughtful, and kind. He explained to me step by step the process to fix the problem. His office has the newest dental technology that you cannot imagine. In conclusion, the whole experience I had in Dr. Kiyan's office was positively amazing. If someone needs a confiable dentist, check doctor Kiyan. You will be surprised.

I'm so happy to have found my new dentist! I hadn't been in some time (ew, gross, I know), and now that I am expecting, I knew it was very important to get to the dentist and take care of my oral health. Coming to the practice was my husband's idea - we bid on a cleaning with Dr. Kiyan at a charity event, and he came first and just loved it. I went today and I could see why. Dr. Kiyan and Ryan welcome you into a truly beautiful space and really take good care of you. They are both so personable and funny, they make you feel as if you've been going there forever. Dr. Kiyan is professional and tells it to you straight (somehow without scaring the bejeezus out of you when you've been away from the dentist for a while). I don't think I've ever had an experience at the dentist quite like it - totally personalized and, dare I say it, fun? Yes, people. the practice makes going to the dentist fun!
I used to despise going to the dentist until I found the practice! After breaking up with my last few dentists, I had lost all hope of finding a trustworthy dentist. After meeting Dr. Mehdizadeh, my faith has been restored. I've gone in for two cleanings and have had cosmetic bonding on my front teeth. Dr. M did a fantastic job, he is a perfectionist with his work, and made me feel completely at ease to trust him. My confidence has skyrocketed with my new smile, all thanks to him. I have a great time coming to the practice, Ryan and Dr. M are so easy to talk to and are absolutely are hilarious. I love these guys and look forward to the next time I see them :)
Great place! I am very picky about dentists. I always feel like they are trying to sell me stuff or sell me work that I don't really need. I found the practice, which is kinda far from where I live, but it's definitely worth the drive. I went in for an exam, cleaning, and to check on pain I was having on one of my teeth. I was kind of worried especially because I was having pain and I don't have insurance. Turns out my exam and cleaning went very well. The doctor didn't find any problems at all, not even where I was feeling pain. He said that it could be that my bite was off so he checked that, shaved down the tooth a little, and told me to monitor the pain. He said to go back if it continues or worsens. I felt like I finally found an honest dentist who just did what you would expect at a check up and cleaning... clean your teeth and work on what needs to be fixed. He offers options for a better looking smile, but he doesn't make you feel obligated to do anything. I recommend this place. They are honest and most importantly do really good work. The doctor does the whole exam even the x-rays and cleaning. He spends a good amount of time, making sure you understand what's going on with your teeth. There are no complaints on my part. I'm glad I found this place!
I hesitate to make such a great review. Because I don't want their schedule to be filled up so much that I can't get in when I want to. But I must be honest. They are absolutely the best dentist that I've ever been to. It is a beautiful beautiful office. The dentist and his receptionist are wonderful as a team. I look forward to bringing everyone I know there. I know that I am not alone in this opinion. My smile has never looked better. I am now more confident. This has changed my life.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this Office! The staff is over the top friendly and welcoming. They have the cutest little office dog who helps ease any dentist visit anxieties. The bright blue and white decor makes the office feel clean and energetic leaving you feel bright and positive. The gentleman at the front is the absolute nicest as is the doctor. He did an excellent and thorough job with my cleaning. I have a lot of work that needs done and I'll be back to work on that with their relatively inexpensive costs. Must try them out! I highly recommend it : D
I bought a Groupon for the practice for $60 because I really wanted to try out a new dentist since I didn't like going to my old one. Best decision ever. It was for a standard cleaning and x-ray and this place is awesome! Dr. Kiyan and his staff definitely take care of you, and he did a fantastic job. Very friendly and very accommodating. I was stuck in traffic and was a little bit late, but he still took care of me. Now that's service! His office is really modern and has tons of cool gadgets too. Definitely will be coming back for future cleanings. Thank you!
I have lived in San Diego almost 7 years and have not been able to find a dentist I was happy with. That ended Monday when I met Dr. Kiyan and Ryan! They make a dental visit fun! Yes, fun! The office is beautiful, very open, bright space. They are so friendly and welcoming. I went in for a consultation to get my teeth whitened and re-bonded as I had stained bonding from a past dentist. I ended up having a dental emergency which Doctor quickly took care of. I was in 2 days later for a root canal which I was so nervous about but he was quick and talked me through the entire procedure. This is 1 day later and I have hardly any soreness! Look no further for a detail oriented, friendly and affordable Dentist! These guys are the best!

Simply AMAZING! So here is my story. I have been looking for years for a dentist that I trust and feel comfortable with. I loved my dentist as a kid but sadly no longer live in my hometown. In SD I have been to so many dentists and have not found one that I truly love until I came to the practice! A few years ago I had bonding done to my teeth and it has since gotten old looking since I love my red wine. I have known for some time that my options are to replace the old bonding or to get veneers, and I have been open to both. Every new dentist that I have gone to was pushy and demanding and expensive... until I came to the practice. Dr. Kiyan gives you options. Dr. Kiyan knew before I said anything that my old bonding was something he knew I was not happy with. He gives you options, he lays it out to you, and he is so upfront and honest! So different than any other experience before. When I told Dr. that I wanted to do this, we had a long appointment to talk about everything and then after even communicated back and forth answering all my questions. Ryan was so nice whenever I called! I was ready to finally make my appointment and it was so easy at the practice. They truly want to wrk with you and find a time that works best. I have a baby and it is difficult with my husband traveling for work to find time for a babysitter. Ryan was so accommodating to whatever scheduling difficulties I had due to my daughter. Fast forward to the work. (So I decided to get 8 upper veneers done. I chose the veneers over bonding because we talked pros and cons to both bonding and veneers in great detail). The appointments were so nice and relaxed and it was all focused around my comfort. I had to get up several times to us the bathroom and Dr. Kiyan was so nice about it. The moment I got my veneers in I was so happy with the cosmetic result! Such an amazing job!!!! I cannot thank the practice enough for the beautiful teeth I have now. You must go to the practice! I have been going to the same cosmetic dentist for years& decided that it was time for a change. I had heard so much about the practice and everyone was so happy with the results. I realize everyone over 40 needs some dental work, but I am 59 and thought I was okay. I had my teeth cleaned by the Dr. & he spent so much time with me explaining what was going on with my teeth. He noticed that my front tooth was loose because my bite was off and that my gum was receding! He did notice a few more things that I will need to take care of in the future. I believe that if you have bad teeth, you look older. I look at everyone's teeth & they scare me! I signed Up!! Next week, I go in for my first appt. for my receding gum. We have a plan and I am sticking to it! I wanted to save my money and purchase a new Mercedes, but my teeth are more important! Thank you the practice and I am so happy you are in San Diego :)
WOW!!! I totally hate going to the dentist but it wasn't until I walked into the practice's sincere and inviting atmosphere, that I finally realized why. I never had a great fear of getting dental work done, but rather I always felt a strong sense of phoniness (from my previous Dental office) and I always felt like they treated me like commodity rather than a person . Plus, they always tried to convince me to get expensive procedures done which I really did not need... gum grafting ... no way!!!!. Being a patient at the practice is a different experience from the moment you walk through the door. Dr. Mehdizadeh and Ryan have figured out how to make getting dental work cool, inviting and comfortable. From the moment Remy ( the sweet office puppy) runs out to greet you, to the comfy waiting space, the refreshments, and the gorgeous and modern office, you just feel so special! It's like going to an amazing spa but going to get your teeth done instead of a facial. My entire appointment ran smoothly, the doctor was on time, and they even had all my insurance paperwork ready for me. I fear writing this review in case they get super busy and I have to wait for months for an appointment, but really I want to see these guys succeed because their concept of service is amazing and I enjoyed my dental appointment 100%. I work in hospitality, and immediately recognized the stellar level of service this practice is trying to provide. When I called Ryan back, he remembered all of the details of my initial e-mail and was able to schedule me an appointment for a few days later. the practice is located in La Jolla on the 3rd floor of a building that houses other health offices. There is small gated parking lot right outside the door, as well as a parking garage if there are no spots there. Make sure to bring your ticket inside so Ryan can validate it for you! Walking into the office is like transporting somewhere else. The building is so dark and drab, but the practice is flooded with natural light from their floor to ceiling windows, and is decorated in a very modern way. I was greeted right away by both Ryan and Dr. Kiyan, as well as their super sweet office pup, Remi! There were a couple of concerns with the coverage from my insurance for dental visits, and Ryan was SO upfront and honest about it, making sure to explain the details clearly. Once everything was sorted out, my appointment began immediately. Dr. Kiyan only takes one patient at a time, as he does all of the dental work from start to finish. I love it! During my appointment, I had really bad anxiety (as always), and Dr. Kiyan was super patient with me, while still getting the job done. I have had bad experiences in the past with doctors basically telling me to grow up about my dentist fears, which is RUUUUUDE. I appreciate someone who knows that telling me to "get over it" isn't going to work on the spot. Duh. I had my cleaning, x-rays, and exam at my first appointment yesterday, and am going back tomorrow to get my painful tooth fixed! I had my cleaning, x-rays, and exam at my first appointment yesterday, and am going back tomorrow to get my painful tooth fixed! I can't honestly say I'm looking forward to it, but I am looking forward to being welcomed by a postitive and friendly team, and the fact that I am not absolutely dreading the impending dental work is already a huge step forward. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

There is so much to say...... Dr. Kiyan and Ryan are an excellent team! They will make you feel right at home while in their care, which is saying a lot as this is a dental office we are talking about. Kiyan has the most wonderfully, assuring, confident bedside manner that you can't help but feel safe in his care. Ryan is just the nicest, most informative, knowledgeable person that you could ever meet. And Remi is awesome! This is a dental office that takes time for its patients, there is only one patient in the office at a time to ensure that all the patients need are met. If you have a question then they have an answer. Dr. Kiyan is a perfectionist and that is exactly who I want working on my teeth. I had 2 fillings replaced today and I went home and asked my husband if he could see which ones I replaced and he pointed to my old ones, he couldn't even tell I had fillings in the teeth that Kiyan did today. So of course now my husband wants to have his old silvers replaced with the white fillings :) Every review on here is 100% accurate about how wonderful this place is! Such a great dental office Ryan is so sweet and makes u feel comfortable and at home. Dr. Kiyan is the best dentist and so helpful and careful. Ive always been scared of the dentist and here they get me thru every appointment and I still want to come back. Love Remi.. I look forward to every appointment I get to see her. They are always offering you drinks and food and just take great care of u with amazing follow up. If u are looking for a dentist in the San Diego area this is definitely the office for you!!
Kiyan and Ryan run a great business, they are professional, friendly, have an amazing facility, are VERY good at what they do, and go above and beyond to just be awesome. They've outfitted the family with orthodontics, cleanings, and fillings and all have been superb.

Highlight:They Love Learning, Too. Experience:A smile holds a lot more than a simple hello. There is an entire process to the mechanics of our mouth and how we use our teeth. Considerations:At the practice Studio, education comes before any procedure takes place. The team explained the physiology of teeth in easy to follow language. Additionally, it helped when they explained the steps that it will take for a smile to stand out. What helps even more is knowing that the team at the practice Studio is constantly learning, right along with you. Rather than settling with their expertise, it is exciting to hear what the team has learned since the last visit. It is encouraging to hear the team get excited about what is available as techniques and materials improve.
Honestly I had the best experience here at the practice. Everything from the amazing location, great dentist, to just an amazing cleaning. I havent been to the dentist in 2 years so I knew I was in for a rough time. However, it was very relaxed and a very easy process. My teeth look great and I will definitely be referring people to this office.

Definitely the best dental office, dentist/assistant duo I have had hands down. I would like to start with how welcoming and personable both Dr. Kiyan and Ryan are. They both made sure that I was very comfortable in their beautifully decorated and neat dental office. Upon walking in, I was approached by their adorable office dog, named Remy and offered a beverage and even a granola bar. The equipment Dr. Kiyan uses is very high tech and he knows exactly what he is doing while being able to visually show you what you will be getting done. I needed my wisdom teeth pulled and he was able to give me an appointment that work perfectly with my schedule less than two weeks from the consultation! After getting my wisdom teeth extracted, I was given a little bag with 2 naked juices, their the practice's logoed blueberry chapstick (which is amazing), gauze, and other things needed to have a smooth recovery. The next day, I was given a follow up call by Ryan to see how I was doing. I can go on an on about how great both Dr. Kiyan and Ryan are, including having phenomenal style. I will also be bringing my other family members to them, because when you find something great, then why not share it with everyone you know? BEST DENTAL EXPERIENCE, and looking forward to having Dr. Kiyan as my dentist. And thanks yelp, for helping me find such an amazing office!
Wow.. Is what I said when I walked through the door of this dental office. Never before have I seen a more pristine and beautiful dentist office. Ryan (the receptionist), Remy (Yorkshire Terrier) and Dr. Mehdizadeh were so welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable, not to mention very humorous. They only take one appointment at a time so you are the star of the show. From the relaxing atmosphere to the cappuccinos and fresh muffins, no details missed here. I will certainly be back and have been recommending them to ALL of my friends! Thanks for the laughs and clean teeth!!
Its all TRUE. I want to keep them a secret and keep them for myself. :) But they deserve the business. This will be the first dentist that I actually see more than once. NO BS like other places... finally
Exceptional dental experience! From the first phone call I made to the office, I knew I was going to be in excellent hands. Ryan, the office manager, was very warm and friendly, answered all my questions and made me feel important as a patient. Ryan is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I felt like a VIP (very important patient ;) as I arrived. The office is beautiful, clean, and has state of the art everything! I sipped sparking water while filling out my patient forms. Remi (the most adorable yorkie you've ever seen) sat by my side while filling out my paperwork and eased any dental anxiety I had. The old cardboard x-rays you remember are non-existent in this office! I rested my chin on a dental space machine (at least that's how cool it looked) and in about a minute the doctor had my full mouth x-rays on his big screen computer. Dr. Mehdizadeh was very meticulous during the exam. He explained everything very clear and is gentle and friendly. I felt so comfortable in his hands. The cleaning was the best I had. I came back a couple weeks later for a few fillings and again a great experience. The fillings are beautiful! I live in Temecula and drive over an hour for my visits because this office is so worth it. If you are looking for a new dental office or just a more updated dental experience, this office is it. I'm making my appointment for my second cleaning at the practice, and I'm looking forward to going. Dr. Mehdizadeh is trustworthy, knowledgeable, conscientious, and kind. I've recommended his services to 2 other people who are equally impressed. I don't know how they will have time to take care of all the patients they will gather as time goes by.
This dentist office is not only aesthetically pleasing with the perfect decor, fresh flowers, comfy seating, art deco books to read while waiting but it is also a pleasure to be in. The receptionist and dentist are great, very personable and friendly. Gives you Perrier or water when you arrive. Remy, their Yorkshire Terrior also adds a lot of positive vibes to the location. Finally, Dr. Mehdizadeh is great at his work. I got four wisdom teeth pulled in one shot and woke up the next morning with no swelling and no pain, despite not taking my pain medications yet. So grateful! Going in for more work as far as fillings and Invisalign in the near future. Though I am moving miles away to the East Coast, I feel like I will keep my dentist here and fly back for appointments because they are just that much of a joy to have. I highly recommend their business, you can clearly see it from the other yelp reviews as well. I see a lot of success in their future. Keep doing the great work Ryan, Dr. M and Remy of course. After having a HORRIFIC experience at another dental office in San Diego, I was absolutely petrified to do the work that needed to be done in my mouth. But the time came and I knew I had to get it done. So, I found Dr. M and Ryan. What a blessing! When they say that they strive for a relaxing, pleasant, stress free atmosphere, THEY MEAN IT!!!! When you go to the practice, you are the only patient there. Attention is on you and you only. Not to mention the goodies they offer yout, Perrier, juice, coffee, croissants, etc. How about the music of your choice playing in the background? And little Remy the Yorkie bouncing around? OMG, so cute!!!! But most importantly, Dr. M KNOWS HIS STUFF, and knows it well. I felt ZERO pain and was soooo relaxed!!!! If it is possible to say that going to the dentist was actually a fun, pleasurable experience, then I am saying that! It has only been 4 hours since I have left there, and I am feeling fine after a surgical extraction. Sure, a little discomfort but all I took was a Tylenol. The best part of the practice and Dr. M and Ryan is the trust and confidence that has been established. I have lots more work to have done and having the confidence in them that I have, I will be back to complete my plan!!! Thank you Dr. M and Ryan... you guys ROCK!!!!!
I really like this office, very friendly atmosphere and both Ryan and Dr. Kiyan explain everything clearly, from insurance to dental procedures. I needed a better toothbrush so they recommended I buy one off amazon instead of trying to sell me one through them, which I really appreciate. I completely recommend!
Hands down the most AMAZING experience I have had at a clinic period! Ryan is the sweetest and most customer service focused person ever! He literally sat down and had a pleasant conversation with my husband and I, making sure we were taken care of as we waited. The location is in the heart of La Jolla in a beautiful glass building. They're extremely clean and beyond friendly. They don't just give you a consult... They educate you on your teeth and dental care and needs. Dr. Kiyan is so honest and transparent about his prices and services, he's never pushy and I felt he truly looked out for what was best for me and my needs. I absolutely love it here, and I think I've found my new Dentist for Life! If you're in San Diego and looking for dental work, please look NO further, this is where you wanna go!!
After going to apt after apt trying to find the right dentist for me, I finally found him!!! Right when you step foot in this office, you will notice how clean, modern, and beautiful this place is!! I hate it when i go to a dentist office and there are a bunch of people in the waiting room, and tons of dental assistants. NOT TO WORRY, this entire appointment is ALL ABOUT YOU. There is just ONE DENTIST, and his handy dandy Receptionist/Assistant Ryan who is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. Right when i walked in, Ryan asked me if i wanted, water, coffee, tea, and even FOOD. I was Shocked. As i was filling out my paperwork, here comes this small little adorable yorkie that jumps on my lap! Can this day get any better? At first i was hesitant because when you usually go in for a "Free" consultation the Dentist usually dosen't do a good job with explaining things to me or tries to make it as expensive as possible. Dr. Kiyan was very detail in explaining what i needed to get done, and is extremely genuine! He Truly just wants to help people which is why he is so affordable. After the consultation, i came back for my SECOND apt. to pull out my 4 wisdom teeth. I was terrified because i hate shots so after i got the numbing shots, i was a little bit trembly and my anxiety level was at an 8. So Dr. Kiyan gave me a few breaks to calm down while Ryan came to hold my hand!! They were both sitting right next to me talking to me and making me laugh until i calmed down. I couldn't believe how much effort they put in just to make me feel better. We shared a special moment that day. lol! Anyways, once Dr. Kiyan finished the procedure, they gave me smoothies, and a gif card to STABUCKS to take home. THANK YOU Dr. Kiyan, and Ryan, for being so understanding and having so much patience with me. THESE GUYS ARE TRULY ONE OF A KIND. P. s. This smoothie is DELICIOUS!! ;)
Have you ever seen a dentist on yelp with 5 stars? that's because they don't exist, UNTIL NOW. Dr. Kiyan and Ryan have earned every single one of these stars they've received by being honest, friendly and good at what they do... which is a dream come true for a patient. I just had my first visit with Dr. Kiyan and from the moment I stepped into their office it was like a breath of fresh air. I've been in San Diego 3 years now and seen 5 different dentists. None of them were honest. None of them spent any time with me and I always left feeling like i'd been scammed. I never thought i'd see the day I'd be writing a 5 star review for a dentist... but I can't begin to tell you how happy and thrilled I am that I found the practice. If you hate going to the dentist... you should stop by the practice and give these guys a chance, I promise they'll change your mind! The office is beautiful, it's inviting and all of their equipment is top of the line. No more gagging on those stupid things they stick in your mouth to take x-rays. I was beyond impressed and with the dental experiences I've had thus far in San Deigo, that says a lot. the practice makes going to the dentist more like a trip to a boutique or a spa! From the second I walked in the door it was clear that it was going to be unlike any other dentist office I've been to before. The physical space is modern, open, bright and beautiful. Dr. Kiyan and Ryan are an amazing team and they made me feel welcomed and pampered with every detail of my visit ... candles, bubble water, attention and more. They even made paperwork and understanding my treatment options easy. I loved that they provided an iPad for me to flip through magazines during my in-office whitening. What a perfect way to finish off my cleaning and exam! Did I mention that they even offer evening and weekend appointments?! Simply amazing.
So first off I call and get to speak to Ryan... He is so sweet and accommodating to my schedule. Then I get there. The office is immaculate and beautiful. Ryan offers me an array of yummy beverages. Then I meet Kiyan, also incredibly kind/ welcoming/ and professional. They make you feel so comfortable and it's great how they give you there undivided attention. No packed waiting room, no waiting for a dental assistant--The dentist is actually enjoyable. Not to mention Remy the office baby pup is adorable!! Oh... And my teeth are whiter and cleaner than ever!!!
BEST experience at the dentist EVER!! Went in for a consultation yesterday and both Dr. Kiyan and Ryan were so friendly and helpful, Ryan the receptionist greeted me as soon as I walked in and offered me water, coffee etc. They have candles burning that make the room so relaxing,the place is so clean and modern feels so nice and comfortable! After filling out paper works I was ready to be seen! This was a BIG plus for me because mostly every time I've been to a dentist I always wait 15 plus minutes to be seen even with an appointment time. After my consultation I knew I wanted to book for a teeth cleaning and they were so accommodating they were able to take me in the next day! The teeth cleaning today great! Again I was ready to be seen and worked on right away and Dr. Kiyan was diligent. Ryan also supplied me with floss to keep in my purse for on the go! ( I'm still trying to get into the habit of flossing ) I would most definitely recommend this dentist to anyone! It's like no other dentist place. Where else serves espresso at their dentist ?! ( of course they provide you with a toothbrush to brush afterwards)
Well, I have to say that I am afraid of dentists and I am always careful when choosing a new dentist. I am from Spain and I am new to San Diego so it took me a while to make a decision about where to go. Now, I am really happy to having chosen the best one! First, you can park the car for free next to the building where the office is located. That is something really important as you can save some extra money and avoid tickets or being towed. Second, the atmosphere is great. When you go in there, you feel like at home. Everything is completely clean and it makes you feel comfortable. Also, there is a lot of natural light, which brings more happiness to the place. Finally, the doctors are awesome! Dr. Kiyan and Ryan are professional and friendly at the same time. They explain everything to you in the most accurate and simple way I have ever seen. I recommend everyone to go to this place. I am going again this Friday!! Gracias amigos!
I recently had a dental appointment with Dr. Kiyan for teeth cleaning, x-rays and teeth whitening. It was a wonderful experience. I was greeted by Ryan and the adorable office dog Remi. The office has state of the art equipment and the office was spotless. I was very much impressed with their professionalism, their knowledge and the great selection of music in their sound system. He is so skilled and knowledgable. He gives his honest opinion on everything and will only do what is best for you the patient. We have all had our share of bad dental experiences but if you want to take care of your teeth and want to turn around how you feel about dentistry this is the place to go, you will be so happy you did!!!! I would recommend this dentist to everyone! Both Dr. Kiyan & Ryan are incredibly nice and professional. The office is state of the art, modern and immaculate. I am so happy to have finally found a Dental office in San Diego that I feel comfortable getting dental work from. I could not be happier with my experience and feel that I am getting work done from the best in the business.
Where should I start? I'm not sure if I was more excited about the state of the art gadgets (easy/pain free X-rays) this office has or how the Dr made me feel while I was in the chair getting work done. He explained everything he was doing, when I had questions he was glad to answer them. I felt as though he was truly concerned about the health of my gums and teeth!! I highly recommend this office. Once you stop here you won't go anywhere else for your dental work.
I hate going to the dentist!! That being said, my visit at the practice was wonderful. Doctor was able to take before and after pictures of work done. He was very patient and informative with me. His concern for my comfort was greatly appreciated. He gave me options for future visits. Having found a dentist I feel I can trust, I'm sure I'll be returning. Unfortunately, the office dog wasn't there during my appointment so am looking forward to meeting him.
These guys are amazing! And that takes a lot for me to even say a dentist is good. I have major anxiety going to the dentist, so it had been a while. From the moment I walked in I was put at ease and I did very well at the consultation (only because of how awesome he is!) and they worked with me for sedation for my first visit with dental work. The follow-up was the first time since I was a small kid that I did well without sedation or medication. He went slow and made sure I was ok and only did small segments at a time to keep my anxiety down. My husband and I both love their office, clean, modern and very "spa" feeling!
