Want it brighter and even - but not obvious?

A good masculine smile makeover is one nobody can point to. The goal isn't blinding white or oversized teeth - it's defined, symmetrical proportions that still look like you. And if you're traveling in, the work can often be concentrated into fewer visits. If that's the result you want, send us a photo.

  • A response within one business day. Usually much sooner.
  • A real cost estimate, not a range designed to get you in the door.
  • No obligation. Many patients take months to decide. That is normal.

Treatment Plan by Dr. Kiyan Mehdizadeh

  • Cleaning and gum lift
  • Decay removal (upper right molar) restored with an inlay
  • Implant placement (lower left molar)
  • Smile design
  • Upper and lower temporary veneers, test-driven and revised
  • Ten upper and lower porcelain veneers (permanent)

The Patient's Journey

This patient wanted a brighter, more symmetrical smile with one firm condition: it had to look natural and masculine, never obviously done. He also had a decayed upper molar and a missing lower molar that needed attention - and he was traveling, so time was tight.

A masculine makeover succeeds when no one can tell it happened. Defined, not flashy. Even, not oversized.

Understanding the Challenge

Two goals had to be met at once: function and appearance. On the function side, a decayed upper molar needed to be cleaned out and rebuilt, and a missing lower molar needed replacing to keep the bite sound. On the appearance side, the design had to add brightness and symmetry without the bulky, over-white look that reads as fake. And all of the front-loaded work had to fit into a compressed, travel-friendly schedule.

Initial Findings

Chipped, uneven upper and lower teeth; decay in an upper right molar; a missing lower left molar; a clear request for a natural, masculine, understated result.

Retracted view after masculine veneers, an implant, and an inlay rebuilt the smile and bite

The Treatment Sequence

On the first visit, over four days, we cleaned and performed a gum lift, removed the decay in the upper molar (later restored with an inlay), placed an implant for the missing lower molar, designed the smile, and delivered upper and lower temporary veneers. He test-drove the temporaries and we revised them to his preferences before anything permanent was made. About twelve weeks later, once the implant had integrated, he returned for his permanent porcelain veneers.

The Result

A smile that's noticeably whiter and more symmetrical yet still entirely natural - with the bite rebuilt at the same time. Subtle, refined, and exactly the understated change he asked for.

Frequently Asked Questions About Masculine Veneers

What makes a smile look masculine?

Well-defined angles, slightly flatter edges, and balanced proportions - rather than very rounded, very white, or oversized teeth.

Can dental work like this be done if I'm traveling?

Often yes. The design, temporaries, and any surgery can be concentrated into a first visit, with a return trip for the permanent teeth once healing is complete.

Why place an implant and do veneers together?

They solve different problems - the implant restores a missing tooth and protects the bite, while veneers refine the appearance of the smile.

What is a dental inlay?

A custom restoration that fits into a tooth to rebuild its biting surface after decay is removed - a conservative alternative to a full crown.

Why test-drive temporary veneers?

They let you see and adjust the shape, size, and shade before the permanent veneers are made.

How long did the whole process take?

About thirteen weeks overall, with the bulk of the hands-on work done in the first visit and the permanent teeth delivered after the implant healed.

Will people be able to tell?

That's precisely what the design avoids - the result is meant to look like a healthier version of your own smile.

What does treatment like this cost?

It depends on the specific plan, which we review at consultation. We accept PPO insurance and offer financing through Proceed Finance, PatientFi, Happen Bank, CareCredit, and Cherry.

Dr. Kiyan Mehdizadeh, DMD — cosmetic dentist in Beverly Hills

Dr. Kiyan Mehdizadeh, DMD

Doctor of Dental Medicine

Most cosmetic dentists refer out for surgery. Most surgeons don't do cosmetic work. Dr. Mehdizadeh trained in both — implantology and bone grafting at Loma Linda and UCLA, fixed prosthodontics under Mauro Fradeani in Italy, periodontal microsurgery with Hürzeler and Zuhr in Munich, and IV sedation at the University of Alabama. That combination means complex cases involving surgery, grafting, implants, and restorative work are planned and executed by a single provider with full command of every phase.

Technical skill produces function. Taste is what produces beauty. The difference between dental work that looks like dental work and a result that looks entirely natural comes down to aesthetic judgment — proportion, texture, translucency, how light moves across a surface. That sensibility runs through everything here, from the way cases are designed to the office itself.

An in-house master ceramist and on-site laboratory allow restorations to be designed, fabricated, and refined with direct collaboration between doctor and technician — no outsourced lab work, no guesswork, no compromise on the final product. Dr. Mehdizadeh is one of few dentists with the refined ability to provide care across multiple specialties, resulting in cohesive and holistic outcomes.
